View Full Version : Hillary so desperate that she stages a sexist protest...

In my opinion, this is staged. She's losing women to Obama and needed to try and galvanize support.

Wow. Yep, there is no way that was anything but staged. The last 24 hours have had a lot of drama for Hillary.
I'm gonna make a prediction on this...it will help tremendously. I hope I'm wrong.

Women under the age of sixty still aren't going to vote for you, Hillary.
Pandering asshole.

Yeah, but there's a lot of women who are over sixty.

Also, my favorite Hillary stunt of the day -- by far -- was comparing Obama to MLK and trying to downplay the importance MLK had in the civil rights movement.
Just genius. There's no way that could go wrong.

Help what? The primary is already here. Obama looks like he'll win by about 10, again. Do you think after he slaps her down again they are going to be talking about some event she had one day before the primary or that she got KO'd again? Even if it was staged to create sympathy and support, its too late for purposes of this primary and after this one is done the ball is already rolling, Obama is now up 20 in SC, its 50-30, thats another loss. If they are going to start staging shit, they need to at least time it better.

http://embeds.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/01/07/clinton-talks-tears-with-fox-news/
In an interview with Fox News Political Correspondent Major Garrett — the second in as many days — Clinton also took issue with Barack Obama’s dismissal of her claim that he represents “false hope;” Obama says that argument is like Martin Luther King standing at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington and saying “sorry guys, false hope. The dream will die.”
Clinton said “Dr King’s dream began to be realized when President Lyndon Johnson passed the civil rights act of 1964… That dream became a reality, the power of that dream became real in people’s lives because we had a president who said ‘we’re going to do it,’ and actually got it done.”
The answer fits her “rhetoric vs reality” approach, but as Politico’s Ben Smith points out, it’s indicative of the problem with her basic campaign argument. After all, who would the American people rather support — Martin Luther King or Lyndon Johnson?

I just believe that women will respond to this stuff. The crying episode earlier today also included some laments about working out and trying to eat right, and how hard it was to not eat pizza. That stuff will resonate with female voters. Before we declare this election "over", we need to remember that over 50% of registered voters are female, and if Hillary plays her cards right, she can still make a comeback. She has shown she's not afraid to play the "woman" card over the last 24 hours. Maybe women will see through it, I don't know.

In other great news, the Culinary Workers' union is apparently set to endorse Obama on Wednesday.

I heard somebody, maybe it was Chris Wallace, on some show... ok, so I don't have many details... anyway, he was talking about seeing her at some school in New Hampshire, and he said that the Clinton campaign is actually having to bring people in from other states to fill up these rallies. This guy said he was talking to the janitor at the school or something, and the janitor told him to go out in the parking lot and look at the cars - sure enough, they all had Mass plates. I wish I could find the quote but I wouldn't know where to look.

She said MLK did important work, but it took the hard work of President Johnson to get laws passed.

That is nothing like the story about Rudy bringing in extra NY people to go door to door and apparently the majority of them were wearing Yankees hats and jackets but NH is Red Sox country. LMAO

That's right. It was the vacuum cleaner, modern kitchens, many other household inventions, improvements in modern medicine brought to us by the market that freed us up, or began to free us up to have extra time on our hands to get involved in other activities such as voting etc. I mean it took all day to make a meal once upon a time.
Yep! Markets—————————————> more freedom.
