I'm not sure "snubbed" is the right word. It would seem those that vote are purposely not voting for him as a statement.

No sense in him going to the hall of fame. He used steroids. Nevermind the fact that everyone else did too.

I really didn't think I had to specifically include this generation. I'm not sure there were steroids back in the 20's.

IMO Nobody should go to the hall that played from around 97 to current. It ****s guys like Arod who I don't think has used steroids, but the game is so tainted I feel you either let no one in, or forget it and let them all in.

Do people really follow baseball still?

I thought they just kept it around to help you fall asleep on your Sunday afternoon nap durring footballs off season.

Are you talking about Mark McGwire?

He won't make it in ever. I was/am the biggest McGwire fan my whole life. The problem with Mark was that he was really HR or nothing, and that stigma followed him his whole career.

Writers aren't will never look past the Andro issue, because they will always say that he was only about hitting with power and was never able to hit for an average.

Steroid use was banned in baseball in 92 or 93. Just no testing until recently.

Back then they could drink a bottle of Coca Cola and have the same chemicals in their systems as the early '80's Royals.

I heard on ESPN radio that at least two of the voters had said they didn't vote for him to send a message to Bonds and Clemens.

I say forget it, and vote in the deserving players.

Everybody was "cheating", so no one really gained a competitive advantage anyway.

McGwire isn't being "snubbed", he's reaping what he sowed.

If McGwire makes the hall of fame before Pete Rose then something is really wrong with America. I think people can tolerate a gambler more than a cheater.

I disagree.

As a 'cheater', McGwire's integity is questionable.

As a gambler, Rose, unless he can prove he didn't gamble on games that he had a hand in, affected the integrity of the game.
