So, I flipped on HBO and Little Miss Sunshine was on. It was the ending, but it seems that no matter where in the film I pick up, it's like watching it for the first time. I get into it and it's just awesome.

Anyone have the same view?

Anyone have a movie that is just like this - the rewatchability?

Little Miss Sunshine is one of the most clever movies ever. I always catch Saving Private Ryan. And, for some reason that slightly weirds me out, it's always right around when Wade (Giovanni Ribisi's character) gets shot up.

I can see this flick having this quality...I've yet to do it with this one though.

Mine would be #1 BBC version of Pride and Prejudice from the mid 90's and Gladiator.

Seen PP at least 25 times in one year re-running a rented version.

I cant watch many movies more than once. Something about knowing whats going to happen ruins it for me. Comedies are the exception. Ive saw Friday, Cheech and Chong: Up in Smoke, and Dumb and Dumber probably 10-15 times a piece. I can watch Pink Floyd: The Wall over and over as well.

Any Kevin Smith movie works for me. (with the occational obvious exception) And if you like the movies, the commentaries are usually just as good.

For me it's Grumpy Old Men 1 & 2. No matter how many times it comes on TV I watch it and laugh. Especially the character Bergess Meredith plays:

Mama Ragetti: We could have retired in Hawaii.
Grandpa Gustafson: I have been to Hawaii.
Mama Ragetti: Oh yeah? Which island?
Grandpa Gustafson: Come-on-I-wanna-lay-ya.
Mama Ragetti: I find you disgusting.
Grandpa Gustafson: Well, just as long as you find me.

I refuse to buy it on DVD. I'm afraid I'd never watch it again.

Oh man! That was one tough scene. I tell ya, I can watch every minute of that movie and it's almost like the first time. On a side note, my great uncle landed on Omaha Beach and was eventually shot in the back about a half inch from his spine. When he watched the movie he said it couldn't have been more dead on.

Obviously, I respectfully disagree. Admittedly, it was probably overhyped. But it was a great comment on the family unit, dysfunction and comedy. I thought it had a good balance.

And yeah, that's what happens when good films get overexposed or catch people off guard.

The opposite of that is something like I Am Legend where people absolutely LOVE Smith, explosions and horrible CGI, and completely ignore the horrendous story, but I digress. :p

And, by the way, Juno killed LMS in terms of my favorite indie flick.
