With the new year, we all pause and dream of a new computer, new MP3 player, new console, new axe, new effects processor... and you know you shouldn't do it, but damn, you just gotta have it.
I've been a guitar synthesizer user for a few years now, and at least one other planeteer (Lzen) has seen my rig, (but to be fair, Chad actually has the balls to get on stage and play, whereas I do not).
I currently have a Roland GR-33 guitar synthesizer and two different guitars with synth access pickups, an Epi Les Paul with the Roland GK-2AH added on, and a Godin xtSA with a factory installed RMC pickup. They're fun and give me a chance to explore the creation of instrument sounds that I don't play, i.e. piano, sax, digeridoo, etc.
Now Roland has come out with the VG-99, which combines the functionality of VG-88 guitar processor with the GR-33 guitar synth, as well as a computer interface.
Damn thing retails for $1200.00 bucks though....
But I've got $900.00 saved up, and a 20% off coupon... drool... how long can I wait? Coupon expires the end of February...
