Dolphins | Team to meet with Grigsby
Tue, 4 Mar 2008 09:43:59 -0800

Omar Kelly, of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, reports the Miami Dolphins will meet with free-agent FB Boomer Grigsby (Chiefs) Tuesday, March 4.

I guess since we signed a new converted linebacker we don't need two!

Stupid.

53 roster spots and we'll have perhaps 35 guys on the roster that give a shit. PERHAPS. And maybe 15 of them will be worth a shit.

Boomer wasn't a bad FB in what I saw and he'll bust his ass trying to get better, which is more than I can say for most of the sad sacks on the roster.

He works his ass off, and in his 2nd full year as a FB he will be much improved. The guys is a work out freak.

Like other people say, if he does leave, something good will happen to him, just like everyones favorite kicker Tynes and MLB Mitchell. lol

So we're only out the "heart" by replacing Boomer?

And that's hard to find in this day and age.

Deberg, Boomer made quite a few decent blocks and does his job on coverage teams -- you know, those 10 guys who have to run down the field, hit people and tackle the opposing guy before he rapes us for a 90-yard touchdown?

Put simply, Boomer's worth a peanuts contract to do his job on special teams and he has upside as a fullback. He plays with the passion and heart of a UDFA rookie trying to earn a job, and if everyone eles on the roster did that, we'd be a lot closer to our goal.

Keep pulling for those sad sacks on defense that give 10% effort, though.

They did him a favor and suggested a move to FB to warrant keeping him on the roster.

Put me in the camp that doesn't see this as a good thing.

I don't think he was ever going to be great, but competent at FB.

Hoyle is a little taller version of a similar guy.

That would be pretty cool, ive met turk a few times and he seemed to be a pretty cool guy. Hell the guy bought my gf and I drinks at Kona Grill awhile back. I remember he was going to call tank to come by but he didn't answer his phone.
