I thought this was hilarious, I missed this SNL skit.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/03/03/AR2008030302769_pf.html

It took many months and the mockery of "Saturday Night Live" to make it happen, but the lumbering beast that is the press corps finally roused itself from its slumber Monday and greeted Barack Obama with a menacing growl.

The day before primaries in Ohio and Texas that could effectively seal the Democratic presidential nomination for him, a smiling Obama strode out to a news conference at a veterans facility here. But the grin was quickly replaced by the surprised look of a man bitten by his own dog.

Hilarious SNL Skit (http://www.thehotjoints.com/2008/02/25/video-snl-skit-mocks-media-crush-on-obama/)

It has been funny watching the media take cues from the Clinton Campaign. She starts whining about how unfair the treatment she's gotten has been and all of a sudden the media is starting to rehash old stories about Obama.

It's clear they want the race to go on as long as possible. It's been great for ratings.

Colbert did a piece last night mocking the media for criticizing the media.

You say that like its not true. The media has been lobbing only softball questions at him for months. When I hear an Obama story, it doesnt sound like its from a journalist, but from someone engaged in shameless fawning hero-worship.

What is funny is Baaaaarack's supporters were convinced that EVERYONE saw their candidate through their eyes and their candidate was somehow immune to this. I've been saying for WEEKS the media has built this guy up so high that they will relish when they can turn tables on him.

Since the race actually heated up I haven't seen a difference in how either is treated. Hell, Hillary's complaint was that she got asked a question first. That was her proof of some media conspiracy.

The fact is she was the frontrunner for the longest time. She was getting plenty more coverage Obama during that span, which is obviously going to lead to more negative coverage. Now that he looks to be the nominee, they're rehashing old stories they had already reported on. It comes off really silly to anyone familiar with these stories, and it looks like the media didn't like being called out by Hillary for their 'bias' so they're now trying to make it up. The same way you've seen the NYT go after Obama a bit after that stupid story about McCain.

Once the people started voting and what not, Hillary and her camp have brought most of the negative stuff on themselves. Whether it's Bill painting Obama to be 'the black candidate' or Hillary not conceding after any contests and instead making excuses for why she wouldn't win. There's a reason she has about a 50% negative approval rating and that's not Obama's fault.

She's dense. The media didn't start rehashing old news until Hillary went up there and whined at the debate. For the complaints about how unfairly the media has treated her, they've let her control the news narrative on every level for the past 2 months.

Old News? This little NAFTA talk denial and "oops, the denial was wrong" thing just came up.

It is almost a cult-like following that BO has, which also gives it a creepy feeling.

That was hardly real news. It was just blown up to be. He was wrong in saying there wasn't a talk, but the meeting wasn't about what the Canadian TV station was talking about in regards to NAFTA. The Canadian Government came out and said so and Obama apologized for the mistake. That's nit-picky stuff, particularly since Hillary was accused of the same thing, yet it went unreported.
