I hate the Yankees, but this was awesome... a lifelong Yankee fan getting to live the dream at nearly age 60. Cool shit.

That was great. Didn't look like the pitcher took it easy on him.

Yeah. A celebrity can write a novel any time they want, no matter how bad it is.

I read a novel once that was "co-written" by a "real" author and Richard Dreyfuss. I have no idea how Richard Dreyfuss got involved, but I'd read some other stuff by the "real" author before that, and while he has nice ideas in general, I'm not a fan of his writing style at all. A friend of mine was all gaga over him, though, so he loaned me this book. Wow. As near as I could figure, the real author wrote the book and Richard Dreyfuss just suggested various banal ideas, because you could tell where the author stopped the story, inserted something incredibly stupid and hackneyed, and then started the story back up again. Considering that I think the writer is a hack to start with, it was a painful book to read.

Sounded like a bunch of typical loudmouthed idiotic Yankme fans in the background, alright...

Oh for ****'s sake. It's a spring game. Some of you old women are acting like he batted in the bottom of the ninth in the World Series.

Rome was crying about this the other night. Anything that makes Rome cry works for me.

Other than that whole New York thing, Crystal seems like a good guy. If he wants his fantasy day, let him have it.

I felt like I was watching Michael Jordan step to the plate again. I didn't think I'd ever in my lifetime hear the Yankee fans cheer a guy for striking out.
