I don't see one started so I guess I will, even though I will be at work and unable to participate in it.

Here's hoping the Cats start f#cking up my bracket and keep winning. Go State! :ksu:

GO BADGERS! I would like to see my Badgers win today. It is kind of a win win for me. I like the Wildcats too. KState winning would muck up my bracket even more, but with all of the damage that was done on Friday I doubt that it matters anymore.

It all hinges on Walker. If he brings it, they'll be hard to beat.

bango
03-22-2008, 02:28 PM
Butch for the Badgers will be a factor also. He has to have a good game for Wisconsin to win. He has to be good on both sides of the court. I would say more so on the offensive side. They are one of the top schools in the country on D.

I dont usually hope for a K-State win, but for the good of the game and the sake of humanity, they need to take out the Badgers. Yes, Wisconsin is a good fundamental team and yada yada, but this is so incredibly dull. I shudder to think what Wisconsin-GTown would look like.

If this Big 10 style of basketball were allowed to continue on to the final game for a 57-53 championship game, it would ruin the sport forever. That horrifying event would also plunge the United States into complete anarchy, the atomic button would be seized by unstable revolutionaries, and all life in the entire world would be snuffed out.

Except for the roaches.

Yeah, I think the Cat's have a shot if they don't come out shooting 60% like the first half. OK half by the Cat's, very streaky(which they are prone to do).

He will fit right in in the NBA.

Another unwarranted NBA slam. Seems to me the NFL has more problems with that than the NBA. NBA players probably donate more money and help out in the local communities than any other professional league in the states.

Funny how if you get in a fight in hockey it's considered fun and part of the sport, but in the NBA you are considered a "thug".

When is the last time you saw a fight in the NFL. They have brawls in the NBA, not to mention gambling scandals. And about Hockey that is the difference with a Canadian sport. Most of the Problems in the NFL are off the field issues that don't relate to the game.

I turn the game on, see a K-State player slammed to the ground by 3 Wisconsin guys to get a rebound, and then, seconds later, a touch-foul against KSU on the other end.

And I ain't exactly a K-State fan, here, seeing this. I hate this kind of "physical" team bullshit, whether it's Wisconsin or someone else, it's invariably one team being allowed to beat on another because they have a "reputation" for it. Whoever said this style of play needs to be excised from the NCAA is right.

Maybe with a litlle luck, Walker and Beasley will take this defeat hard and stay for 1 more year , maybe, but it's highly unlikely. IMHO, Beasley is a lock at the # 1 overall pick, that's alot of cash to pass up.

Funny how the tone changes....everybody from other local teams claim they're rooting for the Cats, then when things go a little south everybody piles on.

Those that criticize Martin for today's performance ---- are you serious? The team went 0 for 14 from three, and the guards were just awful on both ends. What exactly was he supposed to do? If you're just pouring salt in the wound, so be it. But if you're really talking basketball, I'd love to hear the alternative for Martin.

I'm pretty happy with getting a win in the first round after the way the team played down the stretch. That USC game was a lot of fun to watch. The mistake some people made was assuming we'd see that same performance against Wisky from a team that was wildly inconsistent all season. That happens with a team full of freshmen.

The wise thing would be to stay in school towards a degree and then pursue a NBA career. But that type of thinking went out of style in the late 70's.

What if the following year you tear an ACL or have a career threatening injury and can't play again? You're ****ed out of millions, i actually think it's a stupid thing to throw away millions, you never know what can happen on the court.

An Alternative to Frank Martin.

What's he going to stay for, to improve his draft status?

In this case, staying is NOT the smart move.

Ask Matt Leinart and Brian Brohm how staying in school helped their bank accounts.

On the flip side what if he steps off a curb tomorrow and tears his ACL?
Point is I guess is how he manages his $$$ with a emphasis towards his future.

On the flip side what if he steps off a curb tomorrow and tears his ACL? That's a lot less likely than either suffering an injury during a full season of college basketball, or losing draft status, since there's nowhere to go but down for him now.

But, you know that.

Good run, Wildcats. I had you winning this game, and getting to the Elite Eight, so believe me, I was pulling for you.

It could have been worse.

childhood. After reading the Kansas City Star article on Darrell Arthur I could not help but feel sorry for these basketball hired guns. Children do not respond well to this much pressure. How can burn-out not be a factor down the road. Beasley was a model student athlete in the public eye while representing K-State Good luck.

I hope Kansas State enjoyed their one year run, it appears they are headed back to the cellar.

I agree. I think everyone assumed that Be Easy was some sort of thug just because he was a bball superstar and was originally signed to play for Huggins, but his attitude really impressed me this year. He seems like a level-headed kid that isn't completely obsessed with himself, impressive considering his immense talent.

He can see posts we can't see, because the view is much better when you're on a cross.

That's a lot better view than he will have next year while looking up from the bottom.
