Why isn't more being said about this blatant hypocrisy?

If the Obama camp would focus on this, it would severely hurt her chances in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

It's time to ratchet up the heat on this rat bitch.

Because no one cares about NAFTA other than a few disgruntled people who would blame thier own failure on the moonrise if someone would listen.

Everyone in power is ultimately in favor of Nafta. Yes, including Obama.

Obama hasn't made it the second pillar of his campaign, nor is his biggest bastion of support blue collar white dems, who this most directly affects.

There are degrees of hypocrisy, and her's on this matter is regoddamndiculous.

What exactly do these records tell us?

That she was in multiple strategy sessions with other members of the WH that were designed to pressure Democratic legislators in order to get them to pass NAFTA.

Doesn't sound like someone who has been against it from the start to me.

Do we have transcripts from these meetings? Is it possible she urged noble democrats from capital hill to hold their noses and pass the original measure despite the abhorrent shortcomings forced on them by the evil Republicans with the stated promise that her husband would eventually rally the forces of good to renegotiate the offending portions once they had retaken the Congress from the forces of evil?

Your definition of 'a few' is amazing.

Nice try buddy. It was in 1993. They had control of both houses + the Presidency.

OK, then. Maybe she was just dutifully serving her husband despite having personal misgivings. Maybe she lobbied hard against NAFTA in the bedroom, but when the President made his decision she understood that he was the one elected by the people, not her. Kind of like the way Dick Cheney and GWBush have a difference of opinion about gay marriage, but being the subordinate, Dick Cheney defers to the President's policy on the matter.

Remember, Clinton wasn't able to get much through congress at all the first 2 years in his administration. It was until 94 when the republicans swept into both the senate and house that mass legislation was sent to the president as a result of the Contract with America.

Whether or not you want to admit whether or not the legislation in relation to the Contract with America, the basic concepts that they wanted to resolve in the Contract was good. It is amazing how good intentions with legislation gets prostituted into something bad. That is part of the horrible process.

HRC was there most of the time in which Bill and Monica were together. :banghead:

She never denied this. She has said it needs to be reformed.
