View Full Version : Who has purchased a digital to analog box?
Curious on what brands are best based on actual consumer usage.

I'm sure I'll wait until the very last minute to get mine.

My bro gave me his huge HDTV when he bought a flat panel. The TW is bringing out a box today, and I'll let you know the make later today. How timely, now that the tournament is half-over.

I've heard that time actually starts to travel backward if you install one of these.

Who still uses an antenna these days anyway?
Those of us that only watch network TV and refuse to pay the skyrocketing cable and satellite fees.

Directv has only "skyrocketed" once since I got it in '99. I think it skyrocketed by $3.

It is still more than I intend to pay for network TV. Everybody misses this point.
We don't watch all the cable network programs and ESPN is just not worth it anymore. Neither is NFL Network.
I don't understand people paying $40-150 for TV.

I agree. I'm sure everyone already knows, but the govt is issuing coupons for this as well if you don't want to pay full price. I think they're like 20-40 dollars off. Here's the website if anyone would like to get oneof the coupons. https://www.dtv2009.gov/

Still waiting for mine. Looks like they will expire before the Echostar TR40 comes out though. That sucks. It will be the best of the converters by far.
