Bob Dole has found that's it's usually easier to lay the ladder on the ground, drive astraddle the ladder, then secure it to the front and rear bumpers with bungee cords.

That's actually the Katy Freeway headed east near Beltway 8. The building you see in the foreground on the right in the first picture is where my my wife used to work, I believe. The taller building is the tallest in Houston in the Galleria area.
