Last night, evidently he is not as unpopular as some people think.

It will be interesting to see how much white rage this will stir up.

How unpopular do "some people" think he is? Surely there aren't many who think he's unpopular among Obamites, radical leftists who share his negative view of the US as it is, people who believe crazy conspiracy theories about the government, or the overly race-conscious who blame white power and "the jews" for all of their own problems.

This is also what happens when the attack dogs go at it 24/7 discussing nothing else of relevance. It just hands over the sympathy vote. I mean really raise the issue, discuss and then move on. They've got nuthin' else on the right with McCain. They just have to keep attention off of him and create an endless controversy on the other side to distract. I'm really tired of the Wright controversy.

He is very popular among people who want something for nothing, Cubans, Old line Communist Russians, the middle eastern terrorist group of the day.

I believe you have a more correct analysis of the situation than patteeu.
