I would like right along the border. It looks like the Columbia river seperates the Estados Unidos from Mexico in that map.

It might be nice to be able to make a quick run to Tierra de Port, Oregon for some cheap meds. :)

The annoying thing is that we bought the Gadsden Purchase fair and square, and they're trying to take it.

Maybe they figure railroads are obsolete so we should bring it back as a returned item?:shake:

I don't know if it is. Seems like they're advertising for customers. Afterall, it is a global market. Bailey's Irish Cream might even advertise in China for all I know?

If this was really the situation, it'd be interesting to see how America would be different. I'll bet that Seattle would be our largest city, and there would be a lot more people in Montana and the Dakotas.

I'm not sure if Alaska and Hawaii would be more developed without California, or less developed. I presume that all of the other states would have larger populations too since we wouldn't have had the big sun belt migration of the past 30 years.

I have no idea how Mexico would be different. I guess they'd be more powerful, but at the same time I doubt that California would've developed to the extent that it did. Given their historically bad government, they sure wouldn't have cities and economic power that currently exist in the American Southwest.

The map isn't even accurate. It expands the territories that Mexico would have had if Texas hadn't claimed independence and the war with Mexico had never happened. You notice that it includes Wyoming and Oregon, which were never a part of Mexico. They are even claiming parts of Idaho and Montana. They are not only trying to patronize Mexico, they are expanding on their historical borders. We gained those territories in concessions from England. Are these idiots now trying to say that England stole it from Mexico?

Perhaps they forgot that Spain stole the lands from Indians and it was included as part of Mexico when they won independence in 1821. The article also does not mention that just before the Mexican War, California had also formed its own republic.

Y'know, I was looking at Oregon and wondering if it really went that far north. I didn't think so, but was too lazy to look it up.

They're trying to sell vodka to Mexicans. I don't think they're actually thinking through any political statement.
