Glad to see Davidson shot up to where it did. I can't believe they were only ranked #23 in the country going in...they had a 22 game winning streak and some impressive showings against big time programs.

That AP link says it was updated today, but that can't be right. The ESPN site says the AP rankings aren't available right now.
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/rankings That has the updated ESPN/USA today poll, but no AP. Must be a mistake my sportsline.

There's no east coast bias there, huh.

That's unbelievable.

East coast and all of the media bias ....

Yeah, that's definitely a mistake. It's exactly the same as the last one before the tourney. Not a single team moved. Plus, there's the exact same amount of first place ballots cast for each team (53 for UNC, 13 for Memphis, 5 for UCLA and 1 for KU). That would mean that not a single person changed their mind during the tourney about any number one team.

There's no way the AP poll would ever end like that. Not only would it be unprecedented, it would be absolutely absurd to have NC, a team that was blown out by us, finish ahead of both KU and Memphis. No way that would ever happen.

The final records are correct, it came out or was updated today. That's being bias in my book.

So, we beat #2, #3, #5, #9 and #24. I wonder what our RPI and SOS would be now?

According to this site, the AP doesn't have a post-tournament poll in men's basketball, so there is no bias.

All they did was update the records, but none of the positions or votes changed, so there was no new poll taken. That's why ESPN doesn't list it either. The USA today listing is an exact reflection of the last poll before the tourney, and all they did was update the records. Don't read too much into it.

Looks about right. You can't base the rankings off one game. So they might have beat them head to head and won the national championship. But UNC's record is better....wait...well...Hansbrough was sick....I mean...Roy was drugged...well how else do you explain it? A Big 12 team is better than an ACC team? C'mon now we know that can't be right.

I like clinging to my cherished bias against "The East Coast Bias".
