I saw a thread saying that they were close. I just saw confirmation on the NFL network.

Broncos agreed to terms with WR Samie Parker, formerly of the Chiefs.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports Darrell Jackson is expected to join the Broncos on Tuesday. Parker, 27, seemed to regress in Kansas City and lost his starting job in 2007. Behind Brandon Marshall, Brandon Stokley, and Keary Colbert, he'll have a hard time carving out a role as anything more than a fourth receiver. Jackson will be a better bet for a roster spot.

Good place for him! May he continue to suck for them as much as he sucked for us.

Broncos must have seen his flop in that game and thought "Hey, now here's a guy who can dive at some knees!"

Not like they can get much out of him. If the rat can't figure out our offense all on his own he's as fuggin retarded as he looks. See ya Parker, don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

Didn't Herm hate Samie? It seems like he was leaving no matter what.

I always thought that there was potential there. He was a quick and smooth runner. He just needs better hands and a better football mind. I'm not sure that either of those is teachable, though.

Hopefully they searched him and confiscated the matchbook cover before he got out the door. :D

Parker was servicable if not spectacular as a third receiver. But now, all we've got is one proven receiver in Dwayne Bowe. I couldn't even remember Jeff Webb...had to look him up on the depth chart. What draft prospects are waiting for us out there? Could we be looking at a second, or even first rounder now since Jake Long is all but out of the question?

I'm thinking we'll only field ten guys. Herm's not big on wide receivers.

Hooray... plenty of depth for training camp. We'll see what happens.

1 widout 3 yard out ( sometimes behind LOS ) set??? :eek:ROFLROFL Wasn't that slammies bread and butter? Hated the wr screen behind los especially since it almost always was thrown to smallest wr on the team including Hall when he was here.:spock:

We all know who is going to take Parkers place, his name is SIPPIO-the most popular chief that never played.

I think that Herm has posted a sign outside of the locker room door.
You must be above this height to play wide receiver.

Parker 5'11 190(gone)

Bowe 6'2 221
Darling 6'1 213
Price 6'1 197
Sippio 6'3 214
Webb 6'2 211

We all know that Herm loves big receivers. He practically drools over Vincent Jackson. So who is the tallest in the draft.

Kelly 6'4
Sweed 6'5
Nelson 6'2.5
Hardy 6'5
Hubbard 6'3
Hall 6'2
Bowman 6'3
Monk 6'5

Biggest problem I had with Parker is that he is a speed guy who can't show his speed with helmet and pads on. Though closely behind that would be consistency, guy would look great for a few weeks, and be invisible or get a case of the dropsies for another series of weeks.

Does anyone really see a problem with Parker as a 4th WR? Too bad another team didn't use him in that role.
