Butler is a beast. A 13 game hitting streak, with a solo HR yesterday.

Today we've got Bale (0-2) 5.84 ERA vs. Batista (0-2) 6.00 ERA

As far as I know, my cable company doesn't carry FSN-HD which sucks b/c I'm seriously jonesing to watch a Royals game up here. It's always the ****ing Brewers or the Cubs.

Today we've got Bale (0-2) 5.84 ERA vs. Batista (0-2) 6.00 ERA

Both teams and fans are holding their breaths, fidgeting around in the office, sweating a little. Praying that they have the guy who will show up as real player tonight.

Batista isn't as bad as his stats show. Remember, he was 16-11 last year with a 4.29 ERA. Not bad, but nothing special.

Bale hasn't won a game as a starter since 2003. Come on Bale. Surprise me. Make me feel bad for doubting you.

Does anybody ever watch ESPN gamecast along with the game. I do not have the benefit of watching the game, but ESPN had those called balls for the first 2 hitters in the strike zone. Just curious. If that is how the ump is actually calling them tonight, there will be some offense.

Yeah. Now if the Royals can help him do improve his pitch selection, that'd be great. Kinda getting a little annoying seeing him swining wildly on a off-speed pitch that hits the dirt.

I like our pen. It's a hell of a improvement from 2005-2006. Even Nomo, who's probably the weakest link, would be well suited for trash duty, meaning if the starter gave up 5+ runs in a inning, well, there you go.

Bullpen has blown some stupid ass save opportunities this year, but I'm not sure it's been with deficits this big.

Eventually. It's not like he had a bad day at the plate anyways. He drew a walk and had a RBI sac fly.

well, your starter is going to have a bad outing once in a while.

what sticks out to me is that other than tonight, the royals' 6 runs would have been enough to win every other game they've played this year, or send it to extra innings. tells you how good the pitching has been.

your starter getting tagged with 5 isn't good, but what really killed was nomo giving up 4 more after that. royals had the steam to bail out bale, but you're not going to score 10 very often.

nomo doesn't look like he has anything left. i think it's time to recall peralta from AAA
