The potential opportunity to witness JaMarcus Russell meltdown like Ryan Leaf in front of a packed Arrowhead is far too enjoyable to pass up. History could be made. I'm so there!

If we don't draft Dorsey/Ellis, all Russell will have to do is hand off 50 times and watch the Raiders go for 200 on us.

A lot of people not renewing season tickets and no one wanting to even pay near face value on ebay. I ended up keeping my season tickets but am going to sell them for this season. I cant spend 1800.00 for 2 tix and a parking pass while Herm's in charge.

It's going to be "Festivus" weekend. Auction/Dinner on Friday night at the Pavillion at Arrowhead. Saturday daytime, Flag Football?, Saturday night fan get together in Lee's Summit. Tailgate at the game on Sunday. Details to follow. Disclaimer....plans subject to change until "officially" announced.

Kind of what I was thinking. From what I get from the board lately...is if you paid for tix for any games this season then you are a fool...

Well, I don't have tix for the game...yet, but count me a fool. I'd rather watch a horrible game in person than have to sit at home and watch it on the 65" tv any day.

Normally I'd agree with you. But I can't pass up the chance to see Russell get absolutely assraped at Arrowhead in a home opener.

Not sure what you're trying to imply, but I have no desire to be a fan of another team. I've been a Chiefs fan through worse teams than this and I'll be a fan long after this regime is gone. I had season tickets for a few years, but the current regime has made me unwilling to support them financially. The ONLY real way we have as fans to show displeasure is to not pay for tickets, parking, memorobilia and such. If you want to financially support what (in my mind) is an inferior product, it's your choice. To not do so is mine.

Raiders | Walker needs to improve conditioning
Sat, 17 May 2008 06:33:03 -0700

Jerry McDonald, of ANG Newspapers, reports Oakland Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin said following the team's recent organized activities that WR Javon Walker must improve his conditioning. Walker was outperformed by WR Drew Carter.

Raiders QB Russell in good shape and practicing well

320 pounds? It was a lightweight rumor

First came a report that Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell had ballooned to 320 pounds. Then another, and another, until it almost became an accepted fact.

Never mind that none of the reports attributed Russell's alleged 50-pound gain to Russell, his agent, a family member or anyone from the Raiders. Or, that none of the stories was accompanied by a photo as evidence.

At this rate, it wouldn't be long before someone had Russell converting to guard or defensive tackle.

Not to worry, though. Russell still is the Raiders' quarterback, and he isn't lining up in a three-point stance. That much crystalized when Russell performed in front of the Bay Area media at one of the team's off-season workouts Thursday.

"Right now, I'm 269," Russell, 6-foot-6, said after practice. "I was never, ever even close to 300 pounds."

Russell has spent more time at the team's facility this off-season than any other player, Coach Lane Kiffin said. The dedication and work have been apparent in Russell's play.

"It shows his commitment to the team and to the players," Kiffin said of Russell's off-season preparation.

"They see that. They notice his body being different. He has great energy about himself and he looks really good. He's moving around great and making plays on the run. I know it just creates a good feeling around the locker room as well."

269 + 21 = 290 here on the West Coast.

But thats OK... I understand how ChiefsFanz may be upset at being ranked below Oakland & may lash out wildly.

Have you ever been to California? The beaches are great (went today) and the girls don't hardly wear no clothes. Surely you don't want them all to die?
