Interesting...

Brandon Marshall, Darrell Jackson, Keary Colbert, Brandon Stokely, Sammie Parker and a few others. Training camp should be interesting from that perspective.

Throwing a bunch of crap at a wall and hoping something sticks.

It's either that or overpay for 1 guy...

I don't mind this approach - they have two guys that are young with upside (Colbert and Parker) and if DJax is added, sure he has issues like most other tier 2/3 receivers... but he's produced at the NFL level, so adding him as a #2 would be wise.

These guys should all have ideal contracts, so there's not much to lose by going this route. The core of the receiving group is there with Marshall, Stokley, the TEs... they need options and the 3 new guys hopefully bring something.

It's nothing crazy to get all fired up about, but I like the moves.

low-risk/medium reward

DJax has already topped out. He is what he is, except now he's older and more injury prone. He can get open but has suspect hands.

Colbert/Parker are both guys who haven't lived up to their potential. Maybe they need a change of scenery. Still, I don't see either becoming more than a #3 option at best. However, all Dungver really needs them to be is a #3 or #4 type option.

it seems like he hasn't been completely healthy in years. he's overrated.

marshall is fine, if he can get his off the field problems in order. keary colbert was a complete bust in carolina. he got on the field plenty, he just did zero. (sort of like parker) stokely's 40 receptions or whatever last year aren't going to strike fear into anyone. parker only looks good to people who havent seen him play much.

it seems like last year daniel graham was going to kill us... then he caugh 24 passes all year. or travis henry was going to steamroll the nfl... 691 yards and who knows how many bong rips later... color us unimpressed.

i am not trying to beat up on denver, but they are doing things the chiefs way lately. marginal free agents, blowing a million draft picks on linemen and other players that dont work out, too much money invested in corners... lot of similarities i think

better than throwing nothing at the wall and hoping something sticks. .

Darling has as much or more upside than any of the WRs the Donks have signed.

Denver's theory of signing all FA's at a position like they were migrant workers outside of a Home Depot worked so well for their DL.

Darliing ? Unknown let's hope he blossoms with change of scenerio. Ravens were NOT / and still ARE NOT a passing team.

Uh yeah, ok.

I'm not saying he's going to realize any potential, but all homerism aside you can't really disagree. DJax has no upside, he's already reached his ceiling. Both Parker and Colbert have had ample opportunity and playing time. They can still get better, but Darling hasn't had near the playing time and started to come on last season. He definitely as as much or more upside as Parker/Colbert.

Devard Darling will probably surpass Jackson in yards this year, since Sammie Parker will tear it up

I see your point.
It occurs to me we are discussing who has the smaller racing stripe in the back seat of their pants after eating bad chinese food.
Bring on the draft.

D-Jack is the only reciever I have ever seen with hands worse than Samie Parker.

I understand the hate, but I think that may be a stretch.. I'm not saying he's Jerry Rice, but he's definitely not Parker or the like.

Hands only. Hands. Not separation, or anything else. D-Jack is respectable in most areas, with hands worse than Parkers.

BTW, those 70 catches were 7! yrs ago.

Ok, but he had 87 in 2004 and 63 in 2006... what is your point about 70? I never focused on that year... what am I missing?

It's well known that DJax usually is somewhere near the top each year in drops (he was 2nd in 2004). He also hasn't played a full season in 3 years and he's not getting any younger.

And, that's fine... he's a #2-3 guy at this point with decent skins on the wall. If they were looking at him as a #1, then it would be failure...

Yet another aging vet for the Rat.

Maybe he's going to pull a Ricky Williams type of deal to trade to the top of the draft to get Darren McFadden.

He's a decent player-I'll give the Broncos credit they see a need to improve and they're trying to see who will fit, plus MHM is a good dude and I can't bag on him.

I like D-Jack, not so much as a player anymore, but he's a cool cat.

I am a big fan of McFadden, but why do that when you can likely have any of the other RBs at their spot in R1... I'm just as optimistic about Felix Jones. That being said... I'd freak out if they went RB in R1.

They need line help...

it seems like i have always heard he has a poor work ethic and that contributes to the injuries and drops. anybody else heard that?

Print what? Pay checks to a washed up reciever.

I'm sorry dude. I hate the Broncos. Not you.

Exactly... and I'm just running with the tired ol' bit from 'round here with "print em".

Parker does not have any upside.. He failed in reads in our simplistic offense.. You get what you see in Parker.. CFL talent..
