If they don't score runs against Gaudin, they may not score on anybody ever again.

Does Pena ever have an at-bat where he doesn't start off 0-2? I swear every single time he is at bat he starts off 0-2, hits 3 or 4 foul balls, and then finally gets out one way or another. Having this guy on the team is a joke.

If he actually forced the pitcher to throw 6 or 7 pitches, I'd consider that a wildly successful at-bat for him.

Haha, this team hardly sucks. This is not a good game for 'em offensively (hey, we know they're not a power-hitting team and likely won't be until Gordon and Butler get hot) and Bannister's pitching was a bit out of sort, but they're gonna be fine. They're a much better team this year.

Hang it up boys, we might as well not even bother with the next 145.

Yeah, we're struggling right now. Doesn't mean the same will be true in May, June, Etc.

Good pitching needs to come first in regards to getting a team back on track, and we're getting just that. The hitting will come along.

Pena is so damn awesome. He finds ways to ground out to the catcher even without bunting. Thats kinda hard to do.

Eh, I'll take average over horrible. I'm not gonna complain about a 9-8 record thus far, and I have a feeling Gordon's gonna go on a tear while Butler and Guillen heat up.

Tonight's game really is more of an anomaly than anything, at least pitching-wise.

It would be worth it for the comedic value alone, people coast to coast opening their newspapers tomorrow morning and scratching their heads, wondering "how the hell did that guy "save" an 11-run lead?!?" He could have given up a pair of grand slams and still got the save.

Yeah, that's too bad. After his strong spring, it looked like he may have been a steal to stick in the bully. Oh well. Let Piralta keep the spot when Bale comes back.
