Hypothetical Question – Would you trade the #17 pick for Brady Quinn? I dont think Cleveland would but would you consider it.

trade the 17th pick in this years draft for the 22nd pick of last years draft? I think not. He's just as unproven now as he was then.

I'll take that bet.

I think Brodie's not going to be healthy enough during his career to be great. He'll be lucky to be a journeyman.

IF he can even stay healthy enough for that.

As to the trade, no. I think Quinn is going to be a solid, if not spectacular pro but that ship has sailed.

I don't like Croyle but I'm not a fan of Quinns either.

How about we just select Henne or Brohm at number 17??

If Brodie can't cut it we'll have a good enough pick next year to get one of the top QB's available. No trade for Quinn.

SInce this was brought up yesterday, I've been mulling it over.
I think I would.
If I were set on picking up a QB with my 17th pick, then Brohm would be my choice, there. Is Quinn better than Brohm? IMO.... yes. So at that point it becomes an easy call.
All that hinges on my need/want to get a QB at that spot in the draft, though.

Stick with Croyle this year, see if he pans out behind a better line, if he doesn't then draft a QB next year after the o-line has solidified and gained confidence. If this year's draft goes well, QB will be a top priority for us (provided Croyle doesn't pan).

Tim Tebow, Chase Daniel, Colt McCoy, Graham Harrell, Todd Boeckman all are coming out next year (most likely jrs will)

Fix the line now, give Croyle some protection and another big weapon to hit and if he doesn't next year's draft should be pretty deep in QB's. IMHO.

NFW our needs are greater than gambling on an unproven QB outta ND.

I'd trade a 2nd or a 2nd and a late round pick for Quinn, but would be unwilling to trade for him using a higher pick than he was drafted with last year.
