View Full Version : NFL Draft Sam Baker + Chilo Rahal = Instant Chemistry?

These two have played for years together at USC. I can't help but wonder if taking both of these guys would aid in expediting the necessary chemistry needed in an offensive line. Waddya all think?

(And no, I didn't create this thread to try and get cheap rep from Mecca)

What rounds would they go and what positions are they

Why not. I think Rachal's got the motivation to do it in the NFL and Sam Baker is no slouch.

Only if Rachal was to be moved to LG after Waters retired.

Baker's not cut out to be a RT.

Chemistry doesn't mean much if there's a LG and a Center between you.

I'm not familiar with either guy, but assuming they have talent - I think it makes perfect sense. It will speed up the improvement process. But if we have guys graded higher than one or the other I think we have to take them because at the end of the day it's getting the most talented players we can get our hands on.

Baker is considered to be a late 1st, Rahal an early 2nd.

I'm trying to think creatively here...

Baker will be gone day one; and Rahal will be gone by the early part of the 3rd from what I'm seeing.

Rachal should not go in the first two rounds. Baker may go between 35 and 40 the way it is looking right now.

Baker - early 2nd
Rachal - mid-to-late 2nd

If you really want to go USC you can probably grab Drew Radovich in the 3rd.
