This is my first post in this section! Everyone seems to get there point across without mentioning mommas which I think is admirable. Anyway, basically my co workers and I engaged in political discussions today(I know, a big no-no) about what would happen to the country if Mccain, Hilary or Obama won in four years. So yeah, join me in playing psychic.

Mccain - Obviously wont raise taxes, gas would still get worse and we'll still be in Iraq. I think the economy will fluctuate a bit and I see him united parties better than the other two for some reason. His type of flopping indicates to me his he's willing to change his views if given solid advice.

Obama - I honestly have no ****ing clue. He basically talks about uniting parties which is good, but it's not like he would have to with a democratic house and senate. I would love to say something more positive, but I'm honestly not sure.

Clinton - I honestly think her first term would be a disaster because she'd want to get too much stuff done, but given eight years, I can see the economy going from worse to better. I think being the first woman would add pressure on her to make too many changes. Basically I see it getting very bad before very good, but not as good as we had it in the nineties.

Damn, i feel like a pessimist.

McCain - Disaster for the economy. Endless wars. Amnesty. Goofy liberal legislation passed under a conservative umberella. The death of conservative politics for the next decade as America moves further left. Dogs and cats sleeping together.

Hillary - Disaster for governement and morale of the country. Bickering. Infighting. Lying. More collaboration with the Chinese. More soveriegnty handed over to international governance.

Obama - Largely ineffective. Gears of government get jammed up. Growth of government slows down due to the grandstanding and lack of establishment political power by the executive. Not much gets accomplished during first term except that he ends term with warm feelings towards him due to bringing the troops home. Another 4 years of more cooperative government after the nation rewards him for ending the pointless Iraq war. Conservatives start to get conservative again in order to try to win back the white house.

McCain-bought and paid for by the NeoCons along with our Viceroy in the ME, Petraeus, positioned to pave the way for war on Iran. ( real reason for the surge and his presence). Bush II on steroids. Confrontations with Russia and China. Possible WW. Lots of temper tantrums
Bad for the economy.

Hillary- same as Taco's post

Obama- Possibly may not be able to get a lot of his agenda through even with a Dem congress. He may not be able to get us out of Iraq because of a quote I saw over at Lew's from a connection that Bush told a foreign dignatary that things have been fixed with regard to that not being able to happen. Obama may very well get us involved in Africa. ( I've been looking for the quote again but can't find immediately.0

Oh and the economy of the 1990's was due to the fake stimulus of the Fed which led to the .com boom/bust. So it wasn't real gains in production. Still better than what we have now. But of the 3 Obama is probably the lesser of the three evils.

Good God, are the both of you over two hundred years old. I swear I have run into my fair share of old fashioned right wingers, but you two take the cake. Is anyone on the Earth on the Right or just the two of you? I am all for smaller government and lower taxes, but to pretend thats the entire world is a Marxist Conspiracy against you, give me a ****ing break.

AMEN.

It pretty much just dropped a Baby Ruth in the pool for what was otherwise not an uninteresting OP question.

What will happen if any of these people are elected. We'll still live our lives and the politics will tend to work themselves out.

And frankly all 3 of them will take this country down a path that makes me want to puke, but at the end of the day I know that these things will work themselves out and in 4 years we'll be voting again....

Neither am I, TC, I am also not going to be a guest on Coast to Coast with George Norry on Monday either. I probably should not say that, I will put money on you thinking that is a valuable news source.

Who ever wins the election we can be certain that someone will declare their candidacy for President the next day and the networks will start cranking up for 2012 that afternoon. :spock:

Link?

How'd I get put on trial in this thread anyway? I answered the question.

Since when does it make someone radical to believe McCain panders to the left?

Actually, I'm asking this: when have I ever even brought up the subject of the Louisiana purchase?

You don't have to have brought it up (though I do recall a thread where Amnorix asked you this question and you refused to answer it then too). Your inability to answer this simple question is entailed by the 200 year old view that bango referred to and you've been espousing ad nauseam for the last several months or so.

and Ryan Clady sux.

You had better stop right there Banyon, next you will tell us that the Constitution can be ammended. Only a leftist would try to change such a thing. The times might change, but you can not change anything about the way that the U.S. was founded. I mean you probably may think that the Bible is open to interpretation too, but it is not.
