This pick makes sense for Denver.. they didn't want a LT SMARTER than Cutler... Clady was the only possible choice...

The funny thing is reading fan reviews about all these draft picks... from you guys and other boards.

I have no idea if he will be the answer for that position or not. Nobody knows at this point if any of them will be worth it, but it's good fan fodder... so there you go. Carry on.

Clady is playing really well right now, which is surprising, since he is none too bright.

However, in time, I expect that Albert will be a better player as he gets more comfortable at LT, because he has the athleticism and feet to excel in pass protect, and also be one of the best run blockers at LT, not to mention he is smarter.

Yet, Clady is currently 5th on PFW Rookie of the Year meter and Albert is nowhere to be found.

I agree. Clady can't run block for shit, and his little streak will end very soon.

Albert might develop into a nice player, he isn't at Clady's level just now.

Clady is not injury prone. We don't have to have a running back or TE help him out in pass protection. Other than the dolphin game we have been running the ball effectively. Clady was the best LT in the draft. Did I mention that we are second in the league in pass attempts and our ROOKIE LEFT TACKLE has not allowed a single sack?

Albert has not been injury prone, either.

He just had a little bad luck to start the season.

Clady didn't transition to LT in his first game as a pro, after missing practice time to help ease into the transition, and it helps that the playcalling has been more imaginitive in Denver so that Clady wasn't always trying to pass protect in third and long situations, or run blocking against 8-9 man fronts.

I think there's a lot that goes into that 0 stat sack. 1 thing is Cutler. He's been getting rid of the ball. Albert has been playing damn well considering the circumstances, and will probabbly become the better player.

Clady, Royal, Hillis, are all playing very well. And who knows what Torrain will do.Getting a franchise left tackle is a steal....

And no Brandon Albert is nowhere near Clady at the LT position.

I can gaurentee you that had Clady been drafted by the Chiefs, given the myopic playcalling of the Chiefs, he would have given up a couple of sacks.

Clady is the dumbfuck, but Herman fucking Edwards makes him look like Einstein by comparison.

Bumping these threads now is retarded. Now, Cutler vs. Croyle? That's a fair bump. We've seen more than enough. Eight games = your and idiot.

You came off sounding mighty ignorant. Clady is doing an excellent job at LT no doubt, but so is Brandon. Both are performing at a very high level rookie or not. Clady seems to have the edge in pass blocking and Albert has the edge in run blocking. As rookies they are already the best two LT's in the division.

Congratulations on Royal and Hillis. FYI - All 12 KC draft picks are on the roster and contributing. Flowers and Carr the two KC CB's are already better than all Donk CB's with the exception of Champ. Jamal Charles is better than any RB on the Donk roster. Dorsey and Cottam started slow but are already exceeding performance by their Donk counterparts. That is not to speak of Johnston, Legget, Morgan, and Connor who are all rookies that are making a positive impression with their contributions.

While not a rookie Mark Bradley was a big pickup so now KC have a legit #1 and #2 WR. The rebuilding project is going well.

Clady was drafted 3 picks ahead of Albert, he should be better. For the record, I wanted Clady over Albert (http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=184434&highlight=clady), but we got Dorsey with our first pick and if we had it to do over, I wouldn't do it any differently now.

More than 12 rookie players are contributing. I said all 12 draft picks are contributing. I realize 2 of them just came off PUP, but they made the team and are contributing. When you consider Conner, Cox, and Legget are rookies there are 12 rookies contributing significantly each game with 3 others contributing on the regular roster. I am not counting the PS.

What does losing have to do with Clady's Pro Bowl caliber performance? What part of not allowing a sack don't you understand?

Good players on bad teams rarely get national recognition.
