Whats ridiculous is the giant leap and reach by JAX. WTF were they thinking? Then BAL blows it by jumping back up 9 spots and grabbing an I-AA QB? what a day.

It appears QBs are going to go higher than I expected (Ryan's the exception).

Who is still between 20 and 35 who is still in the QB market?

Miami... possibly...depending on how Parcells feels about Beck.

Someone said Seattle was interested in Brohm as an eventual successor to Hasslebeck. Can't remember who posted that.

I would guess Miami for sure.

But will parcells really throw his first two picks at the offense? I have doubts.

My bet is that Seattle takes a RB, as there is still a lot of high-value RBs available. maybe wishful thinking :D

The Baltimore Ravens agreed to terms with quarterback Joey Harrington, who was released Friday by the Atlanta Falcons.

Due to the current uncertainty with their quarterbacks, the Ravens brought in Harrington, Chris Simms (released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and Todd Bouman (released by the Jaguars) for workouts Monday and decided to sign Harrington because he has the most recent playing experience.

Troy Smith and Kyle Boller have been sidelined this preseason due to injury and illness. Smith, scheduled to start the third preseason game, has a viral infection and was hospitalized from Thursday to Sunday. Smith has also lost a considerable amount of weight.

Boller is battling an injury to his throwing shoulder and still hasn't been cleared to practice or play. The Ravens also have rookie Joe Flacco and Casey Bramlet on the roster.

Flacco, the Ravens' No. 1 pick in this year's draft from Delaware, was selected by head coach John Harbaugh Monday to start in their season opener against the Bengals.

"It wouldn't be realistic to have one of those two guys [Smith and Boller] as a starter, for sure. If they can back up, I think that would be an upset," Harbaugh said.

After two preseason games, Harbaugh essentially eliminated Flacco in what began as a three-way competition to be Baltimore's starting quarterback. The plan was to start Smith in the third game, against the St. Louis Rams, then take a look at Boller.

But neither Smith nor Boller was available to play against the Rams or the preseason finale against Atlanta. Flacco started both games and played well enough to maintain the role in the opener.

"This is what I wanted all along," Flacco said. "Things happen funny. I've gotten my opportunity, and now it's up to me to go out there and play."

Chris Mortensen covers the NFL for ESPN. The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Yeah, I'm pissed we didn't take the guy that was supposedly the best QB in the draft, yet couldn't beat out Matt ****ing Flynn for the backup job in GB...

Wait a minute here Flacco is a 1st round pick. There are alot of people on this board that say a 1st rounder is it. I dont care if it was a reach or not the guy went in the first round and that makes him worth his weight in gold. I predict that the Ravens will be going to the Super Bowl within the next 3 years based on the knowledge of The Planet.

Ok really I cant keep it up. This is laughable the guy is just another 1st round bust and he has yet to take a snap in the NFL. I cant imagine what this board would be doing if we would have reached this bad for this guy.

Yea Brennan is the one that jumps out, we took a KR that hasn't touched the field once instead of him.

How can a quarterback who "has yet to take a snap in the NFL" be a bust?

I'm not sure how long it takes for a first round pick to become a bust but I'm pretty sure it takes longer than one preseason.

Default due to injury and illness. As soon as Troy gets healthy he is back in unless of course this guy ends up being Culpepper-NOT!!

He reminds me of Byron Leftwich-slow release:shake:

Well for his team's sake, let's hope he can throw a ball higher up than a WR's feet

I should have said he is already a bust IMO.

Speaking of Woodson, i heard he got cut.....wow. At one time he was projected as a 1st round talent. WTF happened to him?

I liked his interview on NLFN where he had that underdog mentality where he said he had to prove himself everywhere he has been and he'll do that in the pros.

He wasn't really ever that good from a QB standpoint. Smart, good hands, but he was too slow to be a QB. Mecca and I got into an argument over his value to an NFL team....I said his only value would be as a possession receiver, because of his good hands and size. He could fit the same mold that the Chiefs used to have for Todd McNair....
