Baker?? Hopefully. I hope he doesn't go earlier.

I hope we can get Baker.

I hope either Baker, Brohm, Talib, or if Merling somehow falls

DaneMcCloud

Depends on who's there.

I don't think you can take Baker if Talib is there at #35. Or Henne.

It's just all depends.

ChiefsFire

Groves

I would be pretty happy if DeSean Jackson falls and we grab him too...

There are a lot of really high value players still on the board. I'm actually really surprised at how its turned out to this point.

Groves, Hardy or Cason for me. I wouldn't be disappointed with Baker either.

Brohm please.

Henne is a sleeper. U of Mich QBs almost always succeed in the NFL (Harbaugh, Collins, Grbac, Griese, Brady, etc...). I would take Henne in a heartbeat, but I'm thinking Herm is sticking with Croyle/Thigpen.

You don't take Baker now unless you are hedging your bet that you can convert Albert to LT.

Baker is a LT.

He won't transition well to RT or guard.

My bet is we take a Collins-type in the third.

How about Limas Sweed?

I still say trade up for Mike Jenkins.

I think we might be about to start a run on CBs, so my guess is going to be a DE, maybe Groves if we're that lucky.

I agree. I mentioned that in the "What are the odds we go QB next" thread. I like the kid, but you don't want to give top 5 money to a G unless he's at least taken a stab at LT - and with Baker, you don't have a choice.

Milkman, how you liking all these Oakland and SF commercials trying to sell tix? I think they are almost as desperate to sell seats as the Chiefs.

The good news is that we don't give top 5 money to Albert since he was drafted at 15.

I'm thinking they'll go CB or DE (Flowers, Groves) unless Brohm is there and they aren't sold entirely on Croyle.

I don't like Brohm, but I'm betting that is the pick if he's there.

I've "heard" that Thigpen's injury was so bad that he may not be ready this year.

If ever.

I'm not an advocate of reaching for a player but I certainly wouldn't count on a undrafted guy from Coastal Carolina. Especially in his second year.

Alot of teams have become very wary of selecting WR's early in the draft.

Its hard to believe that in 1996 Keyshawn was selected #1 overall. Probably wont see that again for a looong time.

I got money that says he's not.

How much?

Nelson is over-rated to Midwest fans.

He played on an average K-State team.

He's a mid-rounder at best.

I didn't know that. I am not a big fan of high risk QB prospects but reality is guys like Brady and Warner were all but ignored by NFL scouts. I think the track record of Mich QBs is rock solid and Henne would run Gailey's O at least as good as Croyle.

I would like to see Croyle with a real rushing attack. Might be night/day from what we have seen so far.

Because of one draft?

Last year, Calvin Johnson was arguably the best player in that draft, and you also had guys like Ginn, Bowe, Davis, Meachum all in the first round.

He's a mid-rounder at best.He was a first team All American. He won't be there by the time we pick in the third. If by some miracle he is I sure as hell hope we take him. McShay has him as the #38 player in the draft. I don't see how a 6'3" 215lb, 4.5 guy that doesn't drop a pass wouldn't be a 2nd rounder, possibly early early third.

I think we can hold off on WR until Round 3.
With the 35th overall pick I go QB, CB, DE (in that order).

Late second, early third.

No WR's have come off the board and there's four or five guys rated ahead of him now.

He's WAY too high at 35 but maybe in the third, depending on who's there. He's definitely NOT a need pick for the Chiefs.

Tremendous REACH.

Just because he was picked in the 2nd doesn't mean that he merits that position.

Kevin Lockett, anyone?
