Barry Richardson (http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/barry-richardson?id=838)
"Richardson produced 200 knockdown blocks in 49 games at Clemson...During his last two seasons, he graded 84.75% for blocking consistency as a junior and had the highest grade of any Atlantic Coast Conference lineman in 2007, attaining an 86.67% average."

Another starter. Ch-ching! Any guesses on where he'll play?

He's a new Will Shields. His bio said as much about his brains and his character as it did his impressive accomplishments on the field. Me like.

This is a great pickup. I love smart offensive linemen. I would love to be a fly on the wall when this cat and Niswanger start talkin' about smart guy stuff.

Shields = smart guy, stellar citizen. Was not referring to his position.

At least they won't be puzzled over the playbook. I'm jazzed.

Does he wear fake glasses? You can't be a smart player unless you wear fake glasses.

Not anymore. He doesnt have the feet to play Tackle, he will be a guard.

I'm thinking guard, too. His scouting report describes him as a drive blocker par excellence.

How fun, we draft a tackle to play guard and a guard to play tackle. Richardson does looks like great value for the sixth round although it may take two years before he can start.

Because "run left" and "run right" and "it's 3rd and long so we need to pass" are really, really complicated...

It'll all get sorted out in camp. Gailey's an old pro and will get the biggest bang for our buck out of all this raw talent.

This kid has to be all of 20 years old.

I think he'll get the nod at OLT and Albert will move inside. Gailey will protect Croyles blind side with a TE or FB in max protect schemes and the focus will be on inside rushing with LJ and Kolby. Road Graders will start. I will miss all the pulling and trapping, but maybe they can work that in little by little. This guy certainly has the brains for it.

For now. He'll have to last 4 preseason games to seal it.

There's no way that Richardson ever plays OT in the NFL.

I have a buddy who is a huge Clemson fan, and he sent me this:

He is big, strong, and used to zone scheme, but zero mean streak, a little soft even.

Just lock Richardson in a cage and feed him raw meat for a month. He'll be ready.
