Sounds like another Casey Printers to me. I wonder why he didn't stick in Chicago last season?

Edwards said he will view Leak as a quarterback rather than trying to convert him to another position.

Did the Bears try to make him a WR?

Maybe they didn't give him a chance?
(i'm really asking, I don't know)

1. He's nothing like Casey Printers. Just because they're both black doesn't mean they're the same type of player.

2. Nothing but fodder. As much as I like Chris Leak and appreciate him help to bring a NC back to Florida while I was there, he's not a NFL QB.

Chris Leak is not fast nor overly athletic. He also doesn't have great size. He can't be a WR/RB/CB/whatever.

Hey, if you can't leap past Rex Grossman on the depth chart...

6'0" tall or not, the kid knows how to win. Welcome to Kansas City. Now get out there and make Bobby Sippio look good...

I guess I assumed that since he didn't do well with the Bears that he was another scrambler type QB with a good arm, like Printers, who would do well in Canada or something.

The fact that they are both black is merely coincidental.

Much like Printers...minus the NC of course.

Chris Leak is a pure drop-back pocket passer. He's not a scrambler. He can run some bootleg roll outs, but beyond that he's not going to run around and create on the fly.

Camp Fodder. Leak is nothing like Casey Printers either, besides the fact he's black.

Not sure why we need another Casey Printers. Our offense will probably built around a drop back QB. We should have brought in one of those.

I was never impressed by him as a QB. But sometimes QBs make good safties for some reason. Although I'm not sure I want someone named Leak in our secondary.

But I've seen many cases of it. Maybe it's because a safety can benefit from being familiar with how a QB thinks.

You want a guy who's barely 6-foot, runs a 4.74 40 and never played the position (or any defense, for that matter) in his life, to go and become a safety?

Demonpenz

I think the reason that Qb's make good safty's is because they can read the players before it happens. They know what it's like to be dermess in the heet of battle. They can "Think" along with the qb./ That is why most qb's have been qb's

Did I EVER say I WANTED that? Aren't we jumping to conclusions? I don't even care enough about the guy to know about his Ht and Wt. That was just an observation. Brock has a chip on his shoulder concerning my posts going way back. You, however, I expect to be more observant and cerebral.

Thank you sir. You are correct. Rep.

where else can you get this kind of in depth analysis: "Sign him as a safety! I never said to sign him as a safety!"

F*ckin ACE.

Hopefully our line will be ready to give this guy ample time to scramble in the backfield, so he can break off those big runs...

The really skinny crackers seem to move around pretty good as well. But they're too injury prone...

Yeah I remember when he first came here to Florida how much hype there was around him...... He helped us be nation champions but I dont see him being an nfl qb at all, 3rd string at best..... He actually had signed to be on that new football league before it folded
