This is looking like another 2-1 loss, like Grienke's last start.

(And now that I've said that, Cleveland's going to bat around...)

This is starting to feel just like the Chiefs last season. Hard to watch the games when you know 2 runs is enough to get you beat.

I have watched all the Royals games that have been televised here in Omaha. One thing that pisses me off is the Royals allow starting pitchers to get deep in most games because half of our guys swing at the first pitch all the damn time. If we ever took a few effin pitches maybe it would chase these starters and get to the weaker bullpens. We have made Sabathia who has struggled this year look like Cy Young against us twice now. Partly because the Royals just swing at anything. Pena is the worst but Gordon seems like he has never seen a first pitch he did not like. So frustrating.

I've seen a significant difference between infield and outfield over the years. For whatever reason, official scorers are very forgiving to outfielders, obviously horrible plays are often still counted as a hit in the outfield.

Had trouble locating his stuff early on, but battled hard. Six solid innings. Got in trouble once, but was able to battle out with a key strike out. Very good performance, overall.

LOL, Hafner is such an extreme dead-pull hitter that announcers have coined the term "the Hafner shift" for the defensive formation against him.
