Long but some pretty telling and amazingly candid information.

I guess Scott McClellan has finally found a group of people for whom he can be a hero. Lord knows he didn't get the job done when he was presenting the case for the Bush administration.

The White House got an advance copy of this book and has denied none of it.

It's a shame that Scott McClellans admission that the White House turned him into a liar is an effective forced admission on all of the dopes who were defending the white house with him. I'm sure you don't like learning that the white house turned you into a lying surrogate along with McClellan.
The first step is denial.

Their strategy is to convince Americans that McClellan is the equivalent of a liberal blogger, not a former White House press secretary tasked with being their mouthpiece. This isn't the Scott McClellan they knew. The Scott McClellan they knew could be lied to and then repeat those lies without thinking about it too much.

Did McClellan break any new ground with this book or did he just change the way he describes agreed-upon facts?

McClellan didn't admit that the White House turned him into a liar as far as I've seen. In the interviews I've seen/heard, he says the administration didn't lie us into war. Maybe you've seen something on your fancy internet video that hasn't yet reached my village?

You should spend the day or so and re-download this interview with Olbermann again.

Can't you paraphrase the relevant part for me?

I'm not sure what the point is. I'm sure you'll come up with a new definition of "lie," or something to make this all seem reasonable, but he jumps right into in in the first 30 seconds...
OLBERMANN: Not to put words in your mouth or insult you, but did you lie as White House press secretary at any point?
MCCLELLAN: Well, I did when it came to the issue of the Valerie Plame leak episode when I—unknowingly did so. I passed along false information. I had been given assurances by Karl Rove and Scooter Libby that they were not involved in the leak. And it turned out later that they were, but they both unequivocally told me, when I asked them, were you involved in this is any way? They said, no.

Well aside from the fact that I don't think Scooter Libby lied about his involvement to McClellan (since the Novak leaker was Armitage and that was independent of anything Libby did), I've acknowledged what McClellan has said about the Plame affair. I should have made that caveat when I responded to you. Had I known that that was all you were talking about, I wouldn't have responded the way I did. But the ambiguity of your statement deserved to be fleshed out anyway so it worked out for the best.
One other thing though. Even in the Plame situation, McClellan hasn't broken any new ground. We all know that Rove and Libby told McClellan that they weren't involved. And we all know that Rove was involved in a secondary way (because he confirmed what Novak had already discovered when Novak brought the issue up).

I seriously doubt that. But I have no doubt that if there was something extraordinarily valuable in these videos, you'd be able to describe it in text.
And what's all this about lock step thinking coming from one of the many interchangeable Obamadrones?

Obama is different, and people that can see that are enlightened and are far advanced as a people group. They've evolved past the politics of fear and have moved ahead to hoping for change, and changing for hope.
