He's having surgery (today maybe) at Duke University and next week he'll transfer to Massachusetts General Hospital to start chemo and radiation therapy. Given that in all likelihood, these are futile efforts, I hope that (a) they will add to the base of knowledge that will help future victims of this type of cancer, and (b) that he dies a relatively quick death with minimal suffering for both himself and his family.

I have zero respect for him, that said I do not wish death or pain on him.

Surgery did happen today. Was declared "very successful" or whatever -- exactly what you'd expect. As Pat said, a week more in the current hospital (Duke) and then over to MGH for chemo/rad treatment.

Don't hold your breath for a conservative Republican if he does kick it, of course. Massachusetts hasn't had a Republican Senator since the Civil War, more or less. :D

Whoever is driving the next car that goes by would be an improvement

Anyone who would help a drowning woman would be an improvement.

I wonder if that's why the rest of America call y'all Massholes. Naw, it's probably the BoSox and Patsies winning-thing.
Hey, at least this time you'll all get to vote for somebody new (3 or 4 times if they're paying). Most of yez have never voted for anyone BUT Mr. Potatohead, he's been the Lingering Lion for 40 years. Time to give a new shyster a chance.

Plus, there's this...hey John Kerry, you're now the senior senator from Taxachussets. So...why the long face?
