I sat in the front row. It was awesome.

Still waiting to see it in HD.

To this day I've never seen the end of it. Me and my family were watching it in the theaters when my little sister started crying. We left and I was pissed.

That was back before Spielberg turned into a pussy.

Still waiting to see it in HD.For a 7 year old who was obsessed with dinosaurs, it was pretty much the greatest achievement in the history of the universe.

Though, even then, I was kind of annoyed that the Deinonychus was snubbed and they credited Velociraptors as being all badass.

That was back before Spielberg turned into a pussy. That's exactly the picture I was going to put in the thread header before I got lazy and settled for whatever popped up first for "Jurassic Park."

I like how they never show any full-body shots of the dinosaurs in the trailer. Genius.

If you watch your JP DVD extra features, there's this bit about how they were going to use stop motion for all the dinosaurs before they decided to go with computers. Imagine how much that would have sucked.

All of the people get eaten at the end, except for Samuel Jackson.

You know what was cool about that flick?

Since it was right at the dawn of CGI, Spielberg was forced to use practical on set mechanical effects and combine them with digital effects later on. No CGI overload. Very, very cool.

That first T-Rex attack is just awesume.

One hell of a book AND movie. Freaking brilliant. A little bit of a stretch to find workable DNA, but one of my fav movies ever.

I'd say it's one of his best, but it's edged out by Andromeda Strain and Eaters of the Dead.

Thanks for the nostalgia blast, UP. Think I'll watch it this afternoon.
