I recently stumbled across a website that has a rather comprehensive collection of live Pink Floyd material for free (both audience AND some excellent soundboard recordings), and it has rejuvenated my love for this great band. Honestly, there is not much live Floyd out there from official sources other than PULSE, Live at Pompeii, half of Ummagumma, and some very early record company samplers.

The discovery of this new (to me) material has forced me to rethink what good Pink Floyd is. I still think Wish You Were Here was their best album, but from a live perspective I think 1969-1971 was their absolute peak. What do you think? What is the best Pink Floyd era?

The Animals era was my favorite.

...although the more I think about it, Meddle was a killer LP as well.

I love them all I guess, but Animals is my favorite album so I went with that.

The site is free, but donations are greatly appreciated. $5 is appropriate considering how much good stuff there is. The only negative is they don't have a standard for sound quality. What I have been doing is cross referencing with this site:

I highly recommend both 4/29/70 (Interstellar Encore or Interstellar Fillmore) and 9/30/71 (Floyd's of London). Both are soundboard recordings, and both are fantastic. Mr. Pig and Perfect Day are also great audience recordings of the '77 tour.

I like all eras, but Roger Waters was the best member the band ever had. The Wall was simply a masterpiece and imo the greatest album of all times, of any genre.

I think Division Bell was by far their better Post-Waters album.

It's hard to top Dark Side or WYWH. WYWH is probably my 2nd favorite song, period.

If they don't play Comfortably Numb at my wake I'm going on an undead rampage...

Animals does it for me. Great record.

The Wall was amazing as well. Definately the Waters era.

This was tough for me,I wavered from Golden to Waters era but eventually went with Waters era because the movie Pink Floyd:The Wall is also one of my all time faves.

The Wall to me is the greatest album ever and the movie is in my top 10 favorite list as well. You havent lived until you've dropped a hit of acid, or ate some shrooms and watched The Wall. That was in my younger years but I still enjoy the movie today and sober.

Animals is my favorite album ever. Although I prefer Dark Side and WYWH over The Wall. I cannot vote on these options.

Animals is my favorite PF album, followed closely by Wish You Were Here. Dark Side of the Moon takes third, followed by The Wall.

I'm not a fan of anything before or since.
