I've never watched the show, but I can imagine.

But why isn't Charlie Jones being given any real attention.

He dies on Thursday, and I am now just hearing about it this morning.

I grew up listening to his play by play, and still think he was the best I've ever heard.

Wow I just found out by reading your post! I guess it may be that one worked with sports stars and the other worked with world leaders. That said R.I.P. Mr Jones you gave me many great moments.

Yeah, I get that, but the reason I ask is that Russert was getting all the attention on NFL Network, while Jones got the bottom line.

Brought in the people who worked with him and knew him best. Talked about his life, faith, family. Showed several highlights and ended it with Springsteen singing Thunder road with Russert voice overs. He was a huge Springsteen fan and Bruce deticated the song to him at a live concert lastnight.
