among other things, Gowdy and Jones were reasons the AFL was the better League for those of us who came of age during that time. RIP Charlie!

Jones still stands out to me as the best play by play man in the (AFL) NFL ever.

I miss his calls.

Yep, and him and father murphy (Merlen Olsen) used to be the 2nd team on NBC long ago.
