I need some good campy horror movie recommendations, the genre is a guilty pleasure which desperately needs some new *evil laugh* blood.

Some of my favorites:

Dawn of the Dead (both)
Dead Alive
Killer Clowns from Outer Space
Slither
Dead Alive
Friday the 13th (most)

Any recommendations?

Re-Animator

It has some black comedy flavor to it. It's an H.P. Lovecraft story

I accidentally listed Dead Alive twice, one of them was supposed to be Evil Dead. Evil Dead and Dawn of the Dead both set the standards for good camp.

Bad Taste (another Peter Jackson gorefest; predates Dead Alive - not nearly as gory, but what is?)

Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead (Troma Studios)

Toxic Avenger (Troma Studios)

From Beyond is pretty good too from that same era.

Any of the old Peter Jackson stuff. Braindead, Frighteners etc..

Bad Taste has showed up several times on my Netflix recommendations, I think I'm going to have to give that one a go first.

The Gate isn't available on Netflix believe it or not, that's kinda rare. Have to go elsewhere to find that one.

Some great movies on the list, thank you.

As far as modern horror movies go, try Session 9.

There is an obvious answer here and it is: Cabin Fever.

If you want a funny/bloody horror movie like Cabin Fever or Slither, then you HAVE to get Feast. That movie has to be the best one in its genre that i have ever seen. People getting there heads blown off with shotguns, people getting eaten, monsters blowing up, monsters humping monsters, monsters humping objects, white trash charectors, its hilarious....oh and dont forget the acid vomit

Anything with Vincent Price as Dr. Phibes.

Anything from Hammer Studios from the 60's. Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing were it!
