I have seen her live twice now in Kansas City and Sedalia and she puts on a show. She plays guitar, writes her own songs, and basically has the total package. Yeah she is a little more popish in her country but that is mainly due to the American Idol stuff, remember she is that show's cash cow and really the reason why its still going today.

I know that here is what I was getting at with it. When we she came on, they had Kelly Clarkson who was doing good at the time and I guess Clay the Gay was okay but not a big name superstar, but the two previous winners werent exactly superstars. She came along and was exactly what the producers wanted. A cute little girl from the middle of knowwhere who turns out to be the biggest thing in music. She basically gave it the staying power bc now the viewers turn in to see who they can find to be just like or better than her. I know she captured a ton of people who got hooked on to it, heck my parents are a classic example. They watched rarely before she was on, fell in with her and then the show and they had to watch every week now.
