I've heard quite a few stories about Obama and his experience not being what is needed to be president. What I find amazing is the different set of rules for the republicans fair haired boy as compared to the democrats fair haired boy.

I said it about Obama, and I'll say it about McCain...
He's over 35 years old, he was born in the United States, and he's been a resident of the United States for more than the last 14 consecutive years.
While I see plenty of reasons that Obama shouldn't be president and why McCain should, there's no doubt that he is qualified. Sure it's a bit of a plus that he had military service, had been in Congress for more time, etc. BUT those aren't qualifying factors any more than ethics and range of education should be. Hell, we've had presidents lead whole communities halfway across the country by gunpoint, ruin the economy by looking at short term goals (New Deal), and let known terrorists--who were in police custody--leave the country AFTER their first attack. It shouldn't be about qualifications as long as they meet the three basics. It should be about what they stand for and what they're going to do.
