I've thought about this a lot, and if you want to make your own choices, go to:
www.kcchiefs.com/alltime/

Some numbers are retired, so they have a * by them.
Criminal that #89 for Otis Taylor is not retired.

Some numbers are totally non descript. Some numbers were well served by more than one player (example #88 Chris Burford and Tony G.)

I've also chosen the player I thought was the best Chief, not necessarily the best player (example: #1 I chose Noland Smith, not Warren Moon, because Moon didn't do crap for the Chiefs):

My Picks:

01: Noland Smith
02: Dustin Colquitt

Larry Marshall wore 89 after Otis taylor, not sure, but didn't walter White wear 88. Put Willie Mitchell at 22.

gblowfish

Henry Marshall wore 89.
Willie Mitchell would be OK at 22, but he got burned for a TD in Super Bowl 1.

Wendell Hays was a starter for a super bowl champion. Kimball was a good player, but never played in a superbowl.

Burruss is in the Chiefs HOF. Dale Carter was a good player, but a thug. He'll never be in the Chiefs HOF.

Stephone Paige instead of Gammon probably OK.

With Carter, thug or not, he was the best player at his position for about three or four years, and I think that is important.
