Sorry to hear it. Hopefully they can find what's wrong, but if not, at least he won't suffer.

If the worst comes to pass, grieve your friend, then bring a new animal into your family.

My rottweiler, Freya, just turned 9 on the 5th of July, so I know I may have maybe two years left with her. I don't look forward to what you are going through. I feel for you. Hang in there.

Do rots not live very long?

I had a schnauzer that lived to be 16, and was still very active until around 13 or 14

Really sorry to hear of this, Mr. boogblaster. I have a lab that is soon for the rainbow bridge, as well. It's going to be difficult.

Sorry to hear. We all don't realize how closely attached to them we become until the end.

Sorry to hear it. Dogs are some of the best friends a person can have. I had to put down 'Stumppy" 3 years ago. I literally had to do it myself. One of the hardest things I've ever had to do.

Yeah I don't think I could pull the trigger. I'll have to get a friend or employee to do it. Just don't think I could do it.

I couldn't let anyone do that to him. He was suffering in pain, to friggin big (150 lbs.) to just pick up and run to the vet. I wasn't going to put him through all that additional pain just to make it easy for me.
