View Full Version : Chiefs What former Chief do you hate the most?

John_Wayne

Ryan Sims seems to be disliked quite a bit. It made me wonder who we dislike the most?

Feel free to list anyone that I missed and explain why you hated them so much.

I know that I did not list "the one who shall remain nameless". But, that would ruin the poll. So, I left him off. He's in a category all of his own. It's beyond hate.

Ryan Sims is my choice. I remember that draft like it was yesterday. Dick Vermeil saying that Sims was the reason why Peppers look so good because he took on double teams. We could of chosen John Henderson that year. I wonder if Sims is going to make the team down in Tampa Bay.

Todd Blackledge- That pick set the chiefs back 10 years, maybe longer, considering who was drafted after him at QB.

I am not sure if my memory serves me correctly but, wasn't it the Chiefs who lowballed Smith after signing DT to a hefty contract? (I am pretty sure they were both up for contracts at the same time) The two sides were pretty angry with each other and IIRC, the donks were the only team wanting to sign him..I hated him for years for going to the donks but, in retrospect, can't blame him.. I liked him as a Chief. Why should he show loyalty to the Chiefs when they showed none to him?

Course', my viewpoint only holds if my memory of what transpired is correct..

I don't hate Lin Elliot.

The dumbass that put him in that position when he'd been struggling going into the playoffs is more deserving of hatred than he is.

I just can't decide if I hate Marty or Dick more.

THAT is a tough one to decide there. Considering Marty played Elvis over Rich might trump Dick's defense.

Then again.... shit, I don't know.

Probably Joe Montana or Marcus Allen.

Some folks think they played for the Chiefs.

If you are a Bronco fan you should remember that each had historic moments at Pile High (in the Red and Gold.)

Marcus broke the TD record in the snow and Joe beat John in the QB showdown on MNF.

The Kicker by far. After him, Grbac but more to whoever made the final decision to keep him, I assume Carl. Why would anyone hate Bam Morris?

Neil Smith did not do anything wrong. we could only afford dt or him and we chose dt. smart choice, just unfortunate stuff ensued. neil was the smart choice to get rid of too, he was probably my favorite chief at the time but he wasn't really any good for the broncos. but the memory of him with the super bowl trophy in a donkeys uniform is a memory i want out of my head. the only benedict arnold that i would consider would be roaf. him bowing out that year cost us a super bowl as far as i'm concerned. but again ,was that him or carl?

1) Kicker

2a) Carl Peterson (I know he's still here, and I don't care)

2b) Grbac

When Marcus came to KC in 1993, his career was stagnant, I don't think he had really even seen the field in like 4 or 5 seasons with the Raiders because Al Davis is insane. So yeah, Marcus had a great second career in Kansas City. Joe, yeah he wasn't here for long...but I loved the whole time he was.

Roaf said that his body couln't do it. I've talked to a couple of former players and have seen quite a few outside the Red Coaters tent at games. Most of them look like they need crutches or walkers at least.

I don't know about the timing of Roaf's departure, but at one point he thought he could work back up to the level he needed to play but, according to interviews, he just could not do it.

I was disappointed but have no ill will towards him.

off the top of my head?
Andre Rison with William Bartee peaking around the corner.

It's kinda hard to hate Bartee. It wasn't his fault that Gunther reached to draft a safety with eighth-round talent in the second round intending to play him at corner just because he liked his measurables. Gunther thought he was going to turn him into the next James Hasty.

That's fine.

Bidness is bidness. He has to make a living.

Completely understand.

But in one of those NFL films shows the Donks are taking it to us and it shows Smith say "It's nice to finally play for the good guys."

Yeah, **** you. You said it all right there.

You could have left it at a business decision or I got shafted, that's understandable, but you took it to the "I'm FINALLY where I want to be" level.

**** Neil Smith.

I hope he swallows that ring one day eating some tasty steak and it causes a blockage in his stomach rotting out his entire lower GI tract that he passes in an unbelievably painful bowel movement preceeding death...

Sammie Parker deserves some honorable mention.

Whenever he would do those dances or convulsions or whatever the hell they were after finally catching a ball I wanted to camera fall from the blimp overhead and squash him like a bug.

It's like the dead beat at work who finally does something right then gloats and feels entitled despite overwhelming incompetence.

Boy I'm glad he's gone and went to a division rival.

Not even an honorable mention.

Parker is a shorter Willie Davis with smaller ears.

He wasn't good enough to hurt by betryal/choking and he wasn't drafted high enough to be considered a bust.

He won't be in the league in 3 years...
