Pretty nifty way to share files between multiple computers via teh internets. Sample video here:

Anyway, if any of you are interested and want to try it out, shoot me a PM. I've got 9 invites to the beta.
EDIT: It's now open to anyone, so invites are no longer required. Just go there and sign up!

I think so. Google or Yahoo? Actually, PM me regardless just to make sure. It charges you for the invite even if you get the addy wrong, so I wouldn't want to screw it up.
Those guys totally rock, dude!

Looks like new users are given 10 every time, so maybe I'll cut my invites off and hold them in reserve. For those of you who I have invited, it'd be cool if you could offer to give out invites to others.

I'd be more than happy to hand out some invites. Just PM me with your e-mail address and I'll get it sent out.

In case any of you's guys are on facebook, posting a link to a dropbox photo album in a wall post or message on facebook will result in a little slideshow directly on facebook. Too bad you can't use it for your entire album. I hate uploading stuff on facebook.

It's basically 2 gbs of storage that you can use between computers. I use it to store my school work....that way I can access it from home on my desktop, at my work computer and on my laptop when I have internet access.
I'm giving ZumoDrive a test drive right now....does similar stuff. ZumoDrive actually makes itself look like one of your drives (Z:). You get a gig for free. Also, it keeps the files you use often stored locally for those times you're not connected to the 'net. I like it so far. My wife uses it with her Netbook and really likes the functionality. I have the ZumoDrive app on my IPod Touch, and really like having access to things that way.

With Dropbox being on the i.Pad and Android, this makes this service even more valuable.
Here are some free GB's for you... https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTYwMDEwOQ

Chances are most of you who could use this already know about it, but I hadn't really messed with Dropbox for a year or so, and they've really improved the service. It's a viable alternative to mozy and Carbonite for online backup, plus you get instant backup (as opposed to periodic), support for multiple computers, and sync. It's a little more expensive ($10/mo for 50GB vs $6/mo for mozy), but it's well worth it for the simplicity IMO.

That's great, and I frickin' love Dropbox. I haven't paid for additional space yet. I use Picasa Web to store all my pics ($5/year for 20GB of space) and back up the rest of my stuff on an external hard drive. $100/year is still a bit too pricey for me to get 50GB.
