ATT UVerse is similiar to Cable TV.
Except it runs through fiber and phone lines. Its Video/Voice/Internet all rolled into one like Time Warner.

Yeah, there is an AT&T service that is DTV that confuses everyone when talking about it. And it really is only fiber to the POT/neighborhood, not fiber to the home.
it is like cable, except that it is IP based instead of delivering like cable. I do wish they would improve their free stuff on video on demand, Comcast had some movies actually worth watching.

Have they fixed the horrible compression yet? The compression on the HD channels was so bad I dropped Uverse after using it for only 2 weeks.

I would say its a little better than when i first started with them a year ago, but overall it still has issues.
No, its not as good of HD picture as cable or Direct TV.

Yep. Most of the delivery is Fiber to the neighborhood/VRad.
Its ok. Like i mentioned, the HD picture could be improved upon, but overall its not terrible. UVerse also has Total Home DVR now as well.
