This looks sweet...

I own the graphic novel, but haven't read it yet. Gonna have to get on it.

You can find this around the web in bigger versions. (And it's worth the trouble.) This was just the first one of good quality that I could embed.

I'm gonna pick up the graphic novel tomorrow.

Damn it's a good time for comic book movies!

I waited to see the trailer until the pre-Batman showing. I was impressed. I totally marked out for Rorschach.

I know nothing about the comic but the trailer pretty much sold me. And it didn't tell me much either.

Just finished it. Amazing. Very complex.

I'll definitely read it at least one more time before the movie comes out.

I do have a new appreciation for the trailer, now. (I think the music they chose does a nice job of capturing the ominous tone of the novel too.)

I ordered mine from Barnes and Noble the other day. It seems after everyone saw the trailer in the theatres....all the bookstores sold out.

Come for the hot chicks with bangs in latex, stay for the commentaries on authority, morality, and veneration.

Your loss. It's the only comic book on TIME Magazine's list of 100 greatest novels on the 20th century.

For shame. I'm halfway through the graphic novel, and it's not anything I expected, in a good way. This should be a badass movie.

Found a pretty cool quip from the official page. People who know the story will get a kick out of this (A Mysterious Discovery in New York)....

From what I've heard, the movie is in deep doo-doo. It may not come out.

Read about it there.

Essentially, somebody already bought the movie rights to it long-ago, and now that someone else is trying to make it a movie, there is a big fuss.

It'll get released on time, I bet.

WB will just have to give up some of it's cash from DK.

It happened with another WB movie last year.

I too saw the trailer. It looks great. I am going to pick up the graphic novel version of it and read it before it comes out on the big screen. I have more than enough time to do so seeing as how they were showing the preview almost a year before it will be released.

Kick ass.

Having just read it not too long ago, it's strange seeing it in live action. I figured John would have one of those ultra deep omnipresent voices.

I'm also glad they didn't wuss out with a PG-13 rating.

it's one of the best comics ever
that and Miller's Dark Knight Returns
are must reading

Just hope it doesn't get screwed up
that's a lot of story for a 2 or even 3 hour movie
anybody know what the run time is

Hell yeah. Looking forward to it.

There have been rumblings that the ending might be different. Something more ermm.. conventional.

I really, really hope not. That'd be a huge mistake, IMO.

True, that's the story.

And they've tested it with "avid fans" and they said they were okay with it.

That trailer has me more interested than the first one.I don't know if you like comics... graphic novels... or even reading in general...

But "Watchmen" is a pretty good place to start. It's hyped all to hell, so you may be disappointed. That said, it's still excellent.

I used to read all the time. Then I found Chiefsplanet and it ruined me.:D

The only graphic novel I have ever read was Star Wars Dark Empire because I wanted more information about Luke going to the Dark Side because it kept getting mentioned in their other novels.

No. It is impossible to be disappointed with Watchmen. If someone reads that graphic novel and hates it then I want nothing to do with them. They would be so far removed from being able to enjoy art that I would be unable to communicate with them.

I'm skeptical that they can transfer this story to the big screen. It's one thing to suspend disbelief for a graphic novel. For a movie about costumed heroes in this era - and this story in particular - I have my doubts.

Of course, The 300, and the Batman movies of late have been pretty damned good. I hope this movie pans out.

Season 2, when Jack kills a uniformed mercenary by shooting him in the chest with a flare gun.

I love the show in general, but my favorite moments tend to be the absurd ones that make me laugh.

That was a pretty damn bad-ass scene. Not enough bad-guys get choked to death with chains in modern entertainment.
