I don't know any but I'd just like to say that I'm sorry to hear it. Best wishes for a clean break and eventual productive relationship with your future ex. The only winners here are the lawyers. Don't let them win bigger than necessary.

Isn't it always the guy's fault?

Maybe. I certainly will acknowledge my share of blame in my divorce but it took a decade to realize I was driving her away with my inability to communicate and be affectionate.

Fly a hit man in from South Africa under different arrival and departure credentials and learn to shrug and look sad. Try to get yourself arrested on a misdo meaner when it's going down for an airtight alibi.

Pull a Tony Soprano and go have preliminary visits with all the top divorce attorneys in the area so they can't represent your wife.

Like any divorce, it will be pretty complicated, especially since kids are involved. I know it won't be very amicable, though I wish it could be. Overall, however, it is probably for the best.

Think about what you want for your children, and assert your position NOW. It will be nearly impossible to revisit custody arrangements in the future.

Best of luck to you and your kids.

Oh, I don't have a clue on lawyers. Never needed one for anything in my life. Well, I guess technically for our will.

I know one of my best friends got the house he was living in. Everything in it except the TV and the washer and dryer, custody of his daughter AND child support from his EX-WIFE. (that shit don't happen often for the men in divorce settlements)

Of course she was nutty as a holiday fruit cake in some respects but her lawyer sucked ass IMO.

I know ONE of the biggest things his lawyer had him do was document, document and document some more EVERYTHING his exwife was doing. EVERYTHING whether you think it is relevent or not. A good attorney can make mountains out of mole hills.

I should have said "be affectionate in ways that she needed". I showed her plenty of affection - just not what she was seeking.

Hey man, sorry to hear this. It is always bad when a marriage ends.

My condolences.

My sister has been through 2 pretty messy divorces, and try to get everything documented. Email is good, if possible. The best thing you can do is try to be upfront and civil, even if she is not.

Best of luck man. Seriously.

But I do know that divorce, regardless of amicability, sucks. I offer my condolences. Stay strong.

Good luck! divorce is a game played between lawyers. After they both get their cut and she gets hers you will be much lighter in the billfold. I am sorry to hear anyone is going through this bullshit cause it sucks. I dont know if you have kids but if you do I hope both of you protect them. It is going to suck for awhile but it will get better.

I never needed stuff like that. I was always content to live on the budget. If I wanted something I just went out and got some work. But I never got a B'day present or an Xmas present either( except for one or two years.) I never complained about it either.

I got served last night.

This morning, I recieved a call from the attourney I was supposed to meet at 2:00 informing me that she had accepted another position within the firm and wouldn't be accepting new clients so she had to cancel our appt.

WTF.

I have found another attourney, however, who should be pretty suitable for what my needs are, at least I hope so for my kids sake.

I keep telling my wife that she effectively has an unlimited budget at Victoria's Secrets. What does she bring home? More frigging shoes. WTF cares about shoes? And how many pairs of BLACK shoes could one person possibly need?

I do, actually. For some strange reason, I like a finely shaped pair of heels better than the skimpy underwear. If she ever needs to go shoe shopping with a fathead, I'm available.
