Redskins To Bring In Veteran DE Eric Hicks For A Visit

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Redskins aren't just looking at adding only Jason Taylor to their defense. At the same time as the trade for Taylor, the Redskins started to look for run-stopping defensive ends. They will have longtime NFL veteran Eric Hicks in for a visit early this week.

And to think I was hoping we'd bring him in for a look :D

Looks like Daniel Snyder is covering all bases in his quest to win a title. We know Hicks is the one man who can handle starting 0-4.

I can think of no better way to replace Alex Buzbee than with Eric Hicks. I wasn't sold on Jason Taylor, but if they bring in Hicks they will be unstoppable!!! I hope they aren't on our schedule this year.

I bet the Skins have a team that likes to run the bootleg, and they want to bring in Hicks to show them how to defend against it.

I'm not mad at the Skins for trying to improve.
Hicks wouldn't be a bad #3 guy.

They have a wonderful set of bookends now...
To have Hicks available to spell one of them here and there isn't a bad idea at all.

I'm sure. Any time you can take off from having to line up from Jason Taylor is a holiday.

Eddie Drummond finds work

Eddie Drummond, who struggled mightily as the Chiefs' primary kick return man last season, has signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Drummond was brought in last season to replace Dante Hall, but he averaged just 21.2 yards returning kickoffs and 6.9 yards per punt return and never came close to breaking one.

The Chiefs did not retain him for 2008. Drummond, who spent five seasons with Detroit, including a Pro Bowl year in 2004, is a native of Pittsburgh and played collegiately at Penn State.

His signing by the Steelers must indicate how poor their kick return game is.

Junior is currently on the roster with Dallas Cowboys. No word on whether there's a blue star on the center of his spit hood.
