Greinke's already talking to himself. Time to up the dose.

KCUnited

A buddy of mine developed the theory that Grienke is actually talking to the baseball about Hollywood gossip

KCUnited

Royals down 1-2-3. Top of the 2nd.

Jeeeez, Zack. If you want to be our ace, you had better start taking control of ball games. :shake:

KCUnited

3-0 Detroit. Gordon, Aviles collide on a pop up, give up a double. Grienke wild pitch advances the runner. Starting to look like an exhibition game. Bottom of the 2nd.

Looks like we could be headed for a bad day. Some times this team looks like a double A team.

I have not been impressd with Greinke over the last couple months.

KCUnited

7 pitch bottom of the 2nd, Royals down 1-2-3. Teahen needs another mental break. Top of the 3rd.

This happens far to often between the left side of our infield/outfield. I saw a couple of balls drop the other night between Aviles and Gordon. Somebody call the frickin' ball :cuss:

KCUnited

Tigers add 2 in the top of the 3rd. Starting to look like Bull Durham with a Latino catcher. Bottom of the 3rd.

Dartgod

5-0 now. This just goes to show you what a ****ing fluke the start of this season was. Detroit is absolutely ass-raping us this series.

Galarraga perfect through 3. Boston has Manny being Manny, we got Joey being Joey. Top of the 4th.

To the bottom of the 4th. Royals rejoice in a small victory, breaking a 3 inning streak of giving up a run today.

The Royals are no better than they were last year no matter how many people may try to say otherwise.

End of 4. The Royals still perfect in suckage. Top of the 5th.

We coulda had Tim Lincecum but NOOOOO

Or how about Evan Longoria who is basically everything we all thought Gordon would be?

What are they going to look like after the trading deadline?

Is Grudsy going to still be wearing Royal's blue?

Who do we really have that would be trade bait?

KCUnited
07-23-2008, 01:23 PM
Middle of the 5th. Royals extend their streak to 2 innings without giving up a run. Bottom of the 5th as the offense looks to resemble something close to major league.

KCUnited
07-23-2008, 01:30 PM
End of 5. Royals still stuck. Galarraga looks like Cy Young, and Jim Leland still looks like the baseball version of Al Davis. Top of the 6th.

KCUnited
07-23-2008, 01:38 PM
Middle 6. Detroit 5-0. Someone que Mike and Mechanics, "...All I need is a miracle. All I neeeeeeeed is you." Bottom of the 6th

Dartgod

Defensive substitution: Esteban German replaces second baseman Mark Grudzielanek, batting 3rd, playing second base.Way to protect that 5 run deficit, Trey!

KCUnited

End of 6. Royals still getting no hit, but extend their number of balls hit to the outfield to 2. Top of the 7th.

Detroit scores 2 to make it 7-0. The bath water is running, Greinke is searching for his razor blades. Bottom of the 7th, Galarraga looks to stay perfect.

Gordon looks like he needs to be sent down the way he is swinging

How many times has a team gotten no-hit more then once in a season?

I wouldn't think it would be very often.

SCTrojan

Amen, brother.

How sad is this - I haven't been rooting for a win, or runs, or a big inning. I've been rooting for a walk, an error, a hit batsman or a hit.

Sometimes it's no fun being a Royals fan.

I wouldn't think so, either. If that dubious distinction hasn't been accomplished, recent vintage Royals teams would be likely to do it.

Demonpenz

I'll be in KC, Mo for the game this Friday for my mother's birthday. I'm so giddy the Royals are playing such good baseball right now.

The thing is Tampa is playing pretty bad ball lately too, however they'll probably come to Kaufmann and own us. :(

In the last 20 games, our starting pitching has an ERA of over 7. That's the sort of thing A Ball is made of. Gawddamn, there are times that I hate this Freaking Horseshite Franchise.......

It's strange. The last Royals game I attended was against the Devil Rays too. I don't recall the year - but Tampa had Canseco (why I wanted to go), Greg Vaughn and Flaherty on the team. I think TB won too, bad omen. :(

I'll be in section EE on the 3rd base side, sir.

I hope we make some trade moves...seems very unlikely.

I'd think we can get something for Grudz and Olivo...

Mahay seems less likely to get traded unless we are blown away

Hopefully I remember to do it tomorrow, because apparently they told mom i can't pick the tickets up on game day (wtf?). Funny thing is, they mailed them the parking pass (they live in west virginia), but they couldn't mail me the tickets, and I couldn't go to will-call on game day.

Very bizarre.

Think we're in LL, also 3rd base side.

Why do you say that? It would seem he is too old to figure into any long-term plans.
