Sorry if a repost.

Bored as hell today so thought this might help pass the time and just maybe find some new action type stuff to put on the must see list.

My first contribution is from the 70's with Walter Hill's THE WARRIORS and the chase/fight scene between The Warriors and Baseball Furies.

Love The Warrriors! Great flick. It sort of got rediscovered a few years ago when the XBox game got released and a new DVD came out.

Just a few off the top of my head:

Bullet Chase
Original Gone in 60 Seconds

(Because they were REAL. No CGI)

The Untouchables Train shoot out.

Any random Jackie Chan fight sequence.

Raiders truck chase

last 45 minutes of Temple of Doom

Last 45 minutes of True Lies

Last 45 minutes of Aliens

All time favorite shootout was bank Robbery scene in Heat.

i could go on and on..... :)

No need to flame,I just showed it to four 20 somethings about a year ago on a movie night we had and they LOVED it.

Thats awesume.

I know your a John Carpenter fan right? I just watched "Assault on Precinct 13" a week or so ago and loved it. Yes, its cheesy and low budget, but its got a really cool Carpenter vibe about it still.

Chase scenes:
Raiders of the lost ark (Indy climbing under the truck)
The highway scene from The Matrix
The first Mad Max had amazing chase scenes
The Bourne movies have great chase scenes as well.

Fight:
Eastwood in the last fight in Any Which Way You Can
Although short....the scene in Die Hard where Willis ends up hanging the terrorist with the chains

And the ultimate.....Rocky vs Thunderlipps...Rocky 3 :)

I have to have these, in no particular order:

The Blues Brothers
Bullitt
Ronin
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Gone in Sixty Seconds (original)
The French Connection

On principle alone, I refuse to put ANYTHING from either of the Matrix sequels in a "top ten" list. God those movies suck ass.

The original matrix bullet scene? Not really a fight scene per se.

Favorite chase - To Live And Die In L.A. (William Pederson outrunning numerous FBI agents by going the wrong way on a crowded freeway).

Favorite fight - The Long Riders - knife fight between David Carradine and James Remar (Cole Younger and Sam Starr).

That was Tarintino, and a well-done tribute to the classic car films IMO.

It's worth watching just for Stuntman Mike's rant about CGI and stuntmen.

I thought about mentioning Death Proof too...

Some edge-of-your-seat driving, and brutal crashes (and gore) in that movie.

70's style.

You know, i watched Death Proof again on Starz a few days ago. It gets better the more you watch it. Sure, the chick talk still rambles on for a little too long, but damn, Kurt Russell being cool and those chases are pretty damn awesume.

There are a lot of good ones but I think this is by far the worst chase scene I have seen.

A Cutlass with a blown tire on snow while the driver does nothing but floor it the whole time. Pretty ludicrous.

If we're allowed Kung Fu movies then there are too many to count.

I'll add this as an American classic fight scene:
