Disgusted Boldin: I won't re-sign with Cards

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) - Arizona star wide receiver Anquan Boldin says the Cardinals lied to him about a new contract and that he has no desire to re-sign with the organization.

Boldin, a two-time Pro Bowl player and a team captain last season, said Thursday that he was promised a new contract before this season, and has directed his agent to stop negotiations with the team.

I know it'll never happen but I'd love it if we got him. Bowe, Boldin and Gonzo would be a great receiving corp for Brodie.

My thoughts exactly. He'll probably go to Dallas.

We do. But we cant let Boldin impede the development of Jeff Webb.

Actually, now that you mention it, Boldin would take playing time away from Sippio...

DON'T SIGN HIM, CARL!

SIGN HIM CARL

Adding Boldin to our lineup will stop the 8 man fronts as fast as anything.

The problem right now is that we're going to have to pay the Cardinals with picks (and/or Tony G), and then pay Boldin.

If Boldin ever hits the OPEN market, I say we break the bank.

But he won't. We're not close enough to contending to swallow that price.

Um he may actually hit the market.....

If you go to the Cards roster, Larry Fitzgerald is one of the highest paid WR's in the league, so Boldin can't be too that screws up the cap with money to a position..

Then you factor in that team is right on the cap, with several players having expiring contracts or opt outs, 2 of which are Dansby and Adrian Wilson.....

Did you ever think you'd see the day when Arizona didn't have enough cap room to keep players?

And there is the fact that Boldin said he wouldn't sign with them.

But they can still "hold him" in an effect to get something.....usually though that is posturing for money.

In the end he'll probably end up staying there for a nice sum of money.

If we had this dude, it could be magical. The lanes would SOOO open up for LJ.

Man, you know this wont happen, but nice to think about for a minute.

I'd be on the phone offering a 2009 third to arizona if I was Carl. Just saying.

3rd round pick? You couldn't get him right now for a 2nd round pick. Unless you're the Chiefs. :D
