Some guys fall hard, some guys learn how to fall. The guy that falls the hardest the most, is the guy who's going to be hurt the most."

He's no Neil Smith, but he's working on it.

Would make a great demotivator poster with a pic of Robert Downey Jr./Johnny Cash/Axel Rose...

Agreed. You know what was amazing about him was his durability and consistancy. At least until his last few years.

The guy always played (even when hurt).

He knew how to fall. Not the hardest though. So he wasn't hurt the most.

I was an electric frying running back. I hit the holed hard and ran to the ends own. When you do that you get sex points.

I don't really think he is dumb. He is real hickish in the way that he speaks, but he doesn't say a lot of really stupid stuff that I have heard. The whole thing about the way that guys go down and take hits is true really. Look at Barber on the Cowboys, he is a recipe for disaster. He is fun as hell to watch, and he usually beats the defender in getting up from the hit, but still.

I've always felt that Emmit gets ahead of himself when trying to speak or analyze something. Thus, coming off as a doofus.

That is prolly true as much as anything. Good observation. I really do not believe that he is stupid.
