No interest, huh? Oh well.

Hochevar vs. Wakefield

Hochevar worked out of some trouble in the first. Bases loaded, 1 out, and got out b/c of a line-drive double play.

After 1: 0-0, KC.

I hate the knuckleball.

It's always a bitch to hit in MVP Baseball 2005.

I offer my most profound and humble apologies to VonneMarie, who correctly stated yesterday that DeJesus was missing games because of back soreness. I mistakenly believed it was because of a sprained ankle.

In my defense, it's tough to keep track of what keeps that pussy out of games. Hives, backs, ankles, labias...

I can't believe Wakefield is still pitching. Hes got to be 60. Seems like he's been playing since I was a kid.

Wakefield only needed 5 pitches that last inning. Christ.

I heard Hillman say on the radio day that he would pitch batting practice. Supposedly he's got a pretty good knuckleball.

Said he's been throwing it just messing around since he was 13... and at one point the Yankees talked about flying him back from Japan to help prepare their guys against Wakefield. (He said they never actually did, though)

That felt like a home run off the bat.

Those knuckleballers play forever.

wasn't one or both the Niekro (sp) brothers knuckleballers and didn't they play into their mid 40's or older?

Hochevar yanked in top of 6.

Mahay enters. Drew with line drive that plates 2. Runs charged to Hochevar.

I thought his 240 batting average was the answer?
